JUNCTION BOX FOR A LIGHT FIXTURE
A junction box for a light fixture. The junction box is configured to be mounted to a desired surface within an environment and includes a housing, a bracket coupled to the housing, an internal cavity defined by the housing and the bracket, a driver disposed in the internal cavity, an adapter removably disposed within the internal cavity, and a cover removably coupled to the adapter to selectively close the internal cavity. The cover includes an opening configured to receive a portion of the light fixture to removably couple the light fixture to the junction box. When the cover is coupled to the adapter, the adapter retains the driver in the cavity and prevents access to the driver, and when the cover is removed, the adapter is removable from the cavity, thereby permitting access to the driver.
Bracket System for Mounting Electrical Boxes
A bracket system for mounting an electrical box and other components to a ceiling structure can include a support bar and a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket can be configured to receive an end of the support bar and selectively secure the support bar at any of a plurality of positions relative to the mounting bracket.
Mounting bracket for electrical boxes
A mounting bracket for an electrical box can be configured for use with a support that has a first and a second rail. The mounting bracket can include a first attachment device that is secured to mounting body and a second attachment device that is secured to the mounting body opposite the first attachment device. To secure the mounting bracket to the support, the first attachment device can be configured to engage one of the first rail or the second rail and the second attachment device can be configured to engage the other of the first rail or the second rail. Each of the first and second attachment devices can include a first arm configured to extend on a first side of the corresponding first or second rail, and a second arm configured to extend on a second side of the corresponding rail, opposite the first arm.
Junction box cover and lighting fixture assembly
A junction box cover assembly for attachment over an opening in an electrical junction box allows for a concealed connection to avoid detracting from the lighting fixture. The assembly includes a cover plate capable of being mounted to a junction box, the'cover plate having an opening there through defined by a first threaded collar extending from the cover plate, a hub having a flange radially extending from a periphery of a second threaded collar defining a passage and configured to attach to the first threaded collar of the cover plate, and a circular insert detachably connected within the passage defined by the threaded collar, the circular insert having an opening for passing electrical wiring from the junction box through the passage, out the insert opening and to a light fixture. The cover plate and the radially extending flange somewhat sandwich a surface, such as drywall or wallboard, and the flange is configured to permit covering with spackling paste or joint compound to conceal the flange.
ADJUSTABLE ELECTRICAL FIXTURE MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
A mounting assembly is provided for quick and easy attachment to engineered joists. The mounting assembly includes a brace assembly and a mounting bracket. The mounting assembly may also include an electrical box. The brace assembly is an adjustable member that extends between flanges of engineered ceiling joists. The brace assembly has two low profile end caps that can engage the flanges of engineered ceiling joists and apply a force against the flanges when tightened. The mounting bracket is connected to a hanger body of the brace assembly by a snap fit and the electrical box is attached to the mounting bracket.
TELESCOPING BOX SUPPORT
The present disclosure generally relates to a telescoping support bracket, a box bracket, a conduit support bracket, and a floor support bracket. The telescoping support bracket generally comprises telescoping arms that allow the length of the bracket to be adjusted. A method of installing the telescoping support bracket is also provided.
Mounting bracket with far side support
An electrical box mounting bracket includes a mounting frame having a central opening. A removable support member is coupled to an inner edge of the central opening by a frangible tab. A removable extension member is coupled to the support member by a frangible tab that can be removed and attached to an end of the support member. A cable guide is coupled to an inner edge of the central opening by a first fold line and is bendable to a position for supporting a cable. The cable guide has a body or support plate with a plurality of adjacent cable openings with a retaining tab between two adjacent cable openings. The retaining tab is bendable from a first open position for inserting a cable into the cable openings and a second closed position to retain the cable in the cable openings.
Electrical box mounting bracket
Improvements in a bracket is disclosed for mounting an electrical box onto a mounting bar. An electrical box can be preinstalled onto the bracket and clamped onto the mounting bar using wings. Wings on the bracket are biased towards a closed position and can be moved to an open position by squeezing tabs on said wings. A fastener hole on the central body of the bracket allows for installers to preinstall an electrical box onto said bracket. Thus, an installer can secure the bracket and electrical box using a screw and adjust the position of the bracket on the mounting bar.
Adjustable electrical apparatus with hangar bars for installation in a building
A junction box having a cavity to contain electrical wires that provide a connection to a building mains voltage from an electrical system of a building is coupled to a plurality of telescoping hanger bars to hold the junction box in a wall or ceiling in the building. Each telescoping hanger bar is extendible and/or retractable to vary a length of the hanger bar. A position of the junction box is adjustable along the length of each telescoping hanger bar. In one example, the apparatus does not include a can, separate from the junction box, to contain a lighting device of a recessed lighting assembly.
Electrical box hanger assembly
An electrical box hanger assembly for hanging an electrical fixture from a ceiling. All hardware required for mounting the electrical device is included with the assembly. An adjustable mounting bar includes sliding tubular members with end flanges for spanning between adjacent overhead joists. An electrical box is connected to the adjustable mounting bar by a one-piece mounting bracket and a single box mounting fastener. The mounting bracket includes integral tensioner tangs on the mounting bracket prevent backing out of the box mounting fastener after it is secured in place. Bar fasteners are used to securely fasten the mounting bar to the joists. Load bearing device fasteners used to secure the mounting ring of an electrical fixture to the electrical box. Oversize openings are provided in the top wall of the electrical box to ensure that the suspended load is borne by the clamp and mounting bar and not the electrical box.
