A one-piece injection molded plastic electrical box. The box has an integrated lid which is connected to the body of the box via a living hinge, also formed during the molding process. Four slots on either of four walls allow wires to enter the box from all sides. These openings have doors are designed to bend down, allowing space for the wires to be inserted. Once all wires are placed within the box, the top lid is closed and latched. The bent opening doors act as clamps to secure the wires by applying pressure to the wires as those doors attempt to bend back to their original orientation. This box may be installed without requiring power to be cut off to the splice connection.

BRACE WITH SLIDING BRACKET

An electrical box assembly is provided that includes an electrical box and a bracket connected to the electrical box with the bracket being configured to mount the electrical box to a stud, a brace assembly, in a gang application, or, when the electrical box is a first electrical box and the bracket is a first bracket that is mounted to a first side of the stud, a second bracket connected to a second electrical box can be mounted to a second side of the stud at the same time that the first bracket is mounted to the first side of the stud so that at least a portion of the first bracket is at the same height of at least a portion of the second bracket on the stud. A flat blank for a brace is additionally provided that includes a middle portion connected between a first strip and a second strip, a first cutout being formed between the first strip and the middle portion, and a second cutout being between the second strip and the middle portion.

A junction box having a cavity to contain electrical wires that provide a connection to a building mains voltage from an electrical system of a building is coupled to a plurality of telescoping hanger bars to hold the junction box in a wall or ceiling in the building. Each telescoping hanger bar is extendible and/or retractable to vary a length of the hanger bar. A position of the junction box is adjustable along the length of each telescoping hanger bar. In one example, the apparatus does not include a can, separate from the junction box, to contain a lighting device of a recessed lighting assembly.

MULTI-GANG ADJUSTABLE MUD RING ASSEMBLIES
20220006277 · 2022-01-06 ·

A rectangular or square mud ring assembly includes a base member, a raised member, a telescoping member and a plurality of drive members. The base member has a flange and a rectangular or square opening through the flange. The raised member extends from the base member and follows the rectangular or square opening in the flange to form a rectangular or square raised wall. The raised member has a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the raised wall toward the opening in the raised member. The telescoping member is positioned within the raised member opening and is movable relative to the raised member between a retracted position and an extended position. The telescoping member has a rectangular or square wall, an opening and a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the rectangular or square wall toward the opening in the telescoping member. The rectangular or square wall of the telescoping member includes a plurality of protective members. Each protective member is positioned in proximity to one of a plurality of mounting tab pairs. In this configuration, one of the plurality of drive members is operatively coupled to the mounting tabs of one of the mounting tab pairs, such that rotation of the drive members causes the telescoping member to move between the retracted position and the extended position.
