Quick connect
An electrical connection assembly includes an electrical box including a housing having an internal surface defining an internal volume of the housing. An electrical connector is positioned outside the internal volume of the housing and fixed to the housing with a fastener. The housing includes an aperture having an opening defining an insertion path extending from a location external to the housing to a location within the internal volume of the housing. The assembly includes a plug having a flange portion and a plurality of resilient legs. A method of installing an electrical assembly includes contacting the plug and removing the plug from an opening of a bushing positioned at least partially within a retainer coupled to a frame of the electrical connector.
BRACKET FOR ELECTRICAL DEVICES
A bracket for supporting at least one electrical device includes a first portion including a flange oriented in a first plane and at least one second portion including a leg oriented in a second plane substantially parallel to and offset from the first plane. Each second portion is configured to be coupled to the at least one electrical device.
Electrical outlet incorporating a charger for electronics devices and a cover plate therefor
An electrical outlet cover plate (10) sized to fit over the front of an electrical outlet. The cover plate has openings (18, 20) for accessing electrical receptacles (12, 14). A slot (24) extends vertically along one side of the cover plate and facilitates installation of an electronic device charger (26) and its associated cord (34) in the outlet. A plate (38) covers the slot and has a projection (42) formed thereon through which an outer end of the cord extends with a connector (36) on the outer end of the cable attaching to an electronic device for charging the electronic device.
ADJUSTABLE MOUTNING LUG FOR ELECTRICAL BOX
An adjustable mounting lug for an electrical box that diminishes the degree of play of the adjustable mounting lug relative to at least an orientation of a front face of the electrical box. Sidewalls of the adjustable mounting lug can include a first portion comprising a first segment, and a second portion comprising a first inclined side, an intermediate curved side, and a second inclined side. The second portion can be configured accommodate the adjustable mounting lug having a relatively large height while maintaining at least a minimum length of a bottom wall of the adjustable mounting lug that is supported by a support louvre of the electrical box. The second portion also provides the sidewalls of the larger adjustable mounting lug with a configuration that can prevent the adjustable mounting lug from interfering with at least fittings in the box that can be associated with relatively large knockout openings.
Depth-adjusting electrical box
The depth-adjusting electrical box comprises an electrical box and one or more mounting brackets. The electrical box may be mounted to a stud via an individual mounting bracket selected from the one or more mounting brackets. The electrical box may be mounted at a mounting depth that is selected from a plurality of mounting depths. The mounting depth may be established by the selection of the individual mounting bracket, by the orientation of the individual mounting bracket, by the selection of which of a plurality of mounting apertures on the electrical box are used to couple the electrical box to the individual mounting bracket, or by combinations thereof. The mounting depth may be selected to compensate for the thickness of coverings placed over the studs.
SELECTIVELY ADJUSTABLE JUNCTION BOX
An adjustable junction box is provided that allows a technician to selectively adjust the distance between an outer surface of the junction box and an outer surface of a stud to which the junction box is interconnected. A selectively-removable cover is also provided that allows an outlet, for example, to be interconnected to a power supply and later removed for inspection.

Stabilizing brackets for electrical boxes
The present disclosure relates to electrical box assemblies and universal stabilizing brackets that can be used to stabilize electrical boxes attached to different size wall studs. The electrical box assemblies include an electrical box and a stabilizing bracket. Each stabilizing brackets includes a base, a front stop, a rear stop and one or more rear stop segments. The front and rear stops and the rear stop segments include a face member that extends substantially perpendicularly relative to the base. One or more notches are positioned at a junction between each rear stop to facilitate the breaking away of rear stop segments to modify the length of the stabilizing bracket.
ELECTRICAL OUTLET BOX ASSEMBLY
The present invention is directed to an electrical outlet box assembly comprising a mounting plate and a modular outlet box. The modular outlet box houses an electrical device and can be coupled to the mounting plate. The modular outlet box having a first contacts module that connects with a conduit from the main power source. The modular outlet box further comprises a second contacts module having contacts for electrically connecting to the electrical device. A conductor link electrically connects the first contacts module and the second contacts module. A circuit breaker housed in the modular outlet box interrupts the conductor link to regulate the flow of current from the first contacts module to the second contacts module.
