BIDIRECTIONAL RESONANT CONVERSION CIRCUIT AND CONVERTER

The present disclosure provide a bidirectional resonant conversion circuit and a converter. The bidirectional resonant conversion circuit includes a primary capacitor, three primary side bridge arms, three three-port resonant cavities, three transformers, three secondary side bridge arms, and a secondary capacitor. A first port of each three-port resonant cavity is connected to a corresponding primary side bridge arm, a second port of each three-port resonant cavity is connected to a ground terminal of a corresponding primary side bridge arm, and a third port of each three-port resonant cavity is connected to a corresponding transformer. Two ends of each secondary side bridge arm are respectively connected to two ends of the secondary capacitor, and each transformer is connected to a corresponding secondary side bridge arm.

A method for controlling an output of a power converter with a control circuit includes generating a drive signal to control switching of a switch to regulate the output of the power converter. It is detected if a switching period of one switching cycle of the drive signal exceeds a threshold switching period. The drive signal is disabled when a period of a switching cycle of the drive signal exceeds the threshold switching period for a threshold consecutive number of switching cycles.

A multiphase power converter and a corresponding method is presented. The multiphase power converter contains a first and a second constituent switched-mode power converter. The first constituent switched-mode power converter provides, both in a first mode of operation and in a second mode of operation, a first phase current to an output of the converter. The second constituent switched-mode power converter provides, in the second mode, a second phase current to the output of the converter. The converter switches, depending on an operation condition of the converter, between the first mode and the second mode. A first transconductance of the first constituent switched-mode power converter is adapted when switching between the first mode and the second mode. By adapting the first transconductance, unsteadiness of the output voltage of the converter occurring during the switching between both modes of operation is minimized.
