A last extension for a shoe last provides a pattern defining an origin location. The origin location on the last extension can be used to identify locations or points on a last or a shoe component on a last for control of location-critical manufacturing operations, including decorative and functional operations.
Shoemaking System
The present disclosure relates to a shoemaking system, including a processing unit, a first conveying device, a first pickup device, a scanning device, a first coating device and a first applying device. The first conveying device comprises at least one support; the first pickup device picks up an upper and the upper is disposed on the first support of the first conveying device. The scanning device is connected to the processing unit and can scan a scanning area; the first conveying device moves the upper on the first support to the scanning area. The scanning device scans the upper in the scanning area and outputs three-dimensional structure data; the processing unit obtains the three-dimensional structure data from the scanning device and decides a first coating path and a first applying path. The first coating device is configured to spray a first treating agent to the upper according to the first coating path; the first applying device is configured to apply a first adhesive to the upper according to the first applying path.
Process for manufacturing a multi-layered sole directly on the upper and machine operating with said process
A process for manufacturing a multi-layered sole directly on the upper, of the type that employs the technique known as direct injection on the upper, by which soles are made of a plastic material and consist of a plurality of layers with different colour, density, softness and physical-mechanical properties. Said layers form at least an external sole, called outsole, an internal sole, called insole that adheres and extends only partially or totally on the surface of the upper, and an intermediate sole, called midsole, that is intended to hold the other two above-said soles. Said process provides for the use of a single mould which is brought, when suitably equipped, in a well-defined sequence, in front of at least three distinct injectors (I.sub.1, I.sub.2, I.sub.3) in order to obtain, also in sequence, by at least a first moulding operation (P.sub.1) the lower portion of the sole, i.e. the outsole, by at least a second moulding operation (P.sub.2) the upper part of the sole, i.e. the insole and by at least a third moulding operation (P.sub.3) the midsole.

The system for preparing an article for thermoforming can include a vessel that comprises a port, and a negative pressure generation system coupled to the port. The system for preparing an article for thermoforming can further include a compression material that forms an interior portion for receiving an article. The negative pressure generation system can cause the compression material to expand to allow for insertion of the article into the interior portion of the compression material.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR THERMOFORMING ARTICLES
Systems and processes for thermoforming an article are disclosed. The system can include a first heating station that can include a first heating zone and a second heating zone. The system can further include a first cooling station for reducing the temperature of the heated article to a range of about 50 C. to about 70 C. while exposing the article to atmospheric pressure. The system can also include a second cooling station that can expose an article to a pressure above atmospheric pressure.
