IMPROVED PROCESS OF PROGRAMMING FIELD PROGRAMMABLE GATE ARRAYS USING PARTIAL RECONFIGURATION
Programming field programmable gate array (FPGA) digital electronic integrated circuits (ICs) or other ICs that support partial reconfiguration, a particular FPGA having reconfigurable partitions and primitive variations configurable in each of the reconfigurable partitions, comprises: before writing configuration bitstreams to the FPGA, compiling and storing primitive bitstreams for different primitive functions that can be implemented on the particular FPGA; receiving input in a graphical user interface to connect graphical blocks representing functional logic of an algorithm to implement on the particular FPGA, the graphical blocks relating to reconfigurable logic; automatically determining a subset of the primitive functions comprising particular primitive functions that correspond to the graphical blocks; obtaining, from the digital storage, a subset of the primitive bitstreams that corresponds to the subset of the primitive functions; using partial reconfiguration operations, writing the subset of the primitive bitstreams to the particular FPGA.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING WIRELESS FPGA PROGRAMMING DOWNLOAD VIA A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION BLOCK
A programmable semiconductor device contains a wireless communication block (“WCB”) capable of facilitating wirelessly field programmable gate array (“FPGA”) programming download as well as functional logic implementation. In one aspect, WCB detects an FPGA access request for initiating an FPGA reconfiguration from a remote system via a wireless communications network. Upon receiving a configuration bitstream for programming the FPGA via the wireless communications network, the configuration bitstream is forwarded from WCB to a configuration download block (“CDB”) for initiating a configuration process. CDB subsequently programs at least a portion of configurable logic blocks (“LBs”) in FPGA in response to the configuration bitstream.

SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
An object is to provide a semiconductor device that can maintain the connection relation between logic circuit units or the circuit configuration of each of the logic circuit units even after supply of power supply voltage is stopped. Another object is to provide a semiconductor device in which the connection relation between logic circuit units or the circuit configuration of each of the logic circuit units can be changed at high speed. In a reconfigurable circuit, an oxide semiconductor is used for a semiconductor element that stores data on the circuit configuration, connection relation, or the like. Specifically, the oxide semiconductor is used for a channel formation region of the semiconductor element.

Fast boot systems and methods for programmable logic devices
Various techniques are provided to implement fast boot for programmable logic devices (PLDs). In one example, a method includes receiving configuration data associated with a PLD. The PLD includes an array of configuration memory cells including logic block memory cells and input/output (I/O) block memory cells associated with the PLD's logic fabric and I/O fabric, respectively. The method further includes programming a subset of the I/O block memory cells with the configuration data, and providing a wakeup signal to activate functionality associated with a portion of the I/O fabric. The method further includes programming remaining configuration memory cells of the array with the configuration data, where the remaining configuration memory cells include at least a subset of the logic block memory cells. The method further includes providing a wakeup signal to activate functionality associated with at least a portion of the logic fabric. Related systems and devices are provided.
