HEADSET SYSTEM
Arrangements described herein relate to a headset system and a method to manufacturing the headset system, the headset system including a headset configured to lay on top of a surface and to support a head of a subject when the subject is in a supine position or a reclined position, at least one probe adjustment mechanism, and a probe coupled to the at least one probe adjustment mechanism and configured to emit acoustic energy.
Visual indicator for the assessment of the tilt of the Frankfort plane in extra oral dental imaging devices
A patient positioning apparatus for an extra-oral imaging system that includes a support base adjustable in at least one dimension and a cephalometric module coupled to the support base and configured to position a cephalometric imaging sensor about an imaging area formed with an x-ray source, where x-rays from the x-ray source impinge the cephalometric sensor after radiating the imaging area. A patient positioning unit is positioned operatively near the imaging area, and a retractable Frankfort plane positioning indicator and methods for using the same are provided.
BED AND MEDICAL IMAGE DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE
A bed capable of reducing a burden of posture conversion of a subject. There is provided a bed on which a subject is placed including: an upper body-holding bed configured to rotate around a rotational axis extending along a central axis of the subject, and to hold and rotate the upper body of the subject; and a lower body-holding bed configured to rotate around the rotational axis, and to hold and rotate the lower body of the subject, wherein the upper body-holding bed and the lower body-holding bed are configured so that one of these components rotates in accordance with rotation of the other.
BIOPSY APPARATUS
An apparatus is provided for assisting breast biopsy. The apparatus includes a biopsy guide, a support system that effects three-dimensional movement of the biopsy guide and a system for registering coordinates of a remote center of motion (RCM) of the biopsy guide with a coordinate system on an image of a breast obtained from a parallel plate radiology imager. The biopsy guide has a mounting plate and a needle gun mount and ultrasound transducer mount on the mounting plate in a common plane. A biopsy needle of a needle gun mounted on the needle gun mount and an image plane of an ultrasound transducer mounted on the ultrasound transducer mount have longitudinal axes in or parallel to the common plane, which intersect at the RCM. The position of the RCM with respect to the biopsy guide is unchanged when the needle gun and/or ultrasound transducer moves on the biopsy guide.
Scanning imaging device and animal carrying bed thereof
An animal carrying bed includes a tubular unit, an electrical connector and an end cover unit. The electrical connector is arranged on one end of the tubular unit, and the end cover unit is arranged at another end thereof. The end cover unit is formed of an intake channel and a discharge channel therein and separated from each other. The end cover unit is formed of an intake opening inside the tubular unit and connected to the intake channel. The end cover unit is formed of a plurality of discharge openings inside the tubular unit and connected to the discharge channel. The intake channel and the discharge channel are connected to the electrical connector via guide tubes respectively, and the guide tubes are installed inside the tubular unit.
ADJUSTABLE CRADLE ASSEMBLY
In an illustrative embodiment, an adjustable cradle assembly for adjusting a head position of a patient relative to a patient platform includes a base portion with a pair of vertical support members and a cradle portion. The vertical support members may each include at least one position aperture for setting a vertical height of the cradle portion relative to the base portion. The cradle portion may include a channel for receiving a head fixation ring. The cradle portion may include at least one set of adjustment connection points for aligning with position apertures of each vertical support member. The cradle may be pivotably connected to the vertical support members such that a pitch angle of a head position of a patient secured in the head fixation apparatus may be adjusted. A set of adjustment mechanisms may releasably secure the cradle to the base at a selected lateral and/or pitch position.
Profile for the attachment of an immobilisation mask
An assembly of a carrier for supporting a patient, an immobilization mask and connection means for connecting the carrier with the immobilization mask, wherein the connection assembly contains a profile that is provided on a first side to be connected to the immobilization mask and on a second side contains a first connector for connecting the immobilization mask to the carrier, the connection assembly including a carrier connector disposed on the carrier, the first connector being provided to engage the corresponding carrier connector, wherein a swivel and a swivel anchor point are provided to cooperate such that when swivelling the swivel arm around the swivel anchor point towards the carrier, the first connector is guided to a connected state.
SAFETY MECHANISMS FOR CLOSE RANGE TOMOGRAPHIC SCANNING MACHINE AND METHODS OF USE
In some embodiments, a safety system for a close range scanning machine inhibits collision of moving detector heads with a patient or other object. For example a proximity sensor and/or a collision sensor may guide to bring the head close enough to a patient and/or warn to prevent a collisions and or reduce impact. Parts that are in that are in the FOV of the detector may be transparent to the detected signal and/or uniformly affect the signal, facilitating identification of the source of the signal from the detector. In some embodiments, a dynamic motion restrictor is set during scanning according to the desired scanning position and/or the position of the patient. In some embodiments, a motion restrictor acts to prevent unbalanced motions.
Breast computed tomography system comprising a gripper
The present invention provides a breast computed tomography system in which the body motion and the pain of an examinee during capturing of images of the breast are reduced. The breast computed tomography system includes a gantry accommodating a light emitting unit that radiates light onto the breast. The gantry includes a gripper having a right gripping portion and a left gripping portion.
Pediatric support system and method for medical imaging
A pediatric patient support system is provided. The system includes a support extension configured to be removably coupled to a cradle of a table, wherein the support extension includes radial supports extending in a radial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the cradle. The system includes a pair of rods, wherein each rod is coupled to a respective radial support and extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The system includes a patient support disposed between and coupled to the rods, the patient support being configured to support a pediatric patient, wherein the patient support is configured to move axially relative to the longitudinal axis along the rods to move the pediatric patient in and out of a central bore of a medical imaging system.
