A wireless device may support a plurality of channel state information (CSI) processes. The wireless device may send an indication of a number of supported CSI processes to a first base station. The first base station may send to the wireless device a handover command, instructing the wireless device to handover to a second base station. The handover command may comprise configuration parameters for CSI processes associated with the second base station. The configuration parameters may be based on the number of CSI processes supported by the wireless device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GEOSPATIAL PLANNING OF WIRELESS BACKHAUL LINKS

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, calculating a Fresnel zone about a line of sight (LoS) between a pair of antennas positioned on antenna mounts. The Fresnel zone is projected onto a geospatial grid of 3D cells, each having a height above a horizontal plane. Cells that intersect the Fresnel zone projection are selected to obtain a subset cells with constraint heights determined according to heights of the subset cells that are adjusted according to the Fresnel zone. The LoS is revised according to an algorithm to obtain a set of updated LoS. Those updated LoS that do not intersect the set of adjusted constraint heights are identified as solutions that include an optimal solution, should one exist. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A method for implementing a multi-user beam alignment (BA) scheme in a multi-path environment of a single-cell millimeter wave network is presented. The method includes enabling a base station to communicate with a plurality mobile devices handled by a plurality of users within the single-cell mmWave network, estimating an angle of departure for the plurality of users within a discrete set of intervals, transmitting, via the base station, scanning beams (SBs) to receive feedback messages from the plurality of users, the feedback messages determining if an AoD associated with a resolvable path of the user belongs to an angular coverage region of a given beam, transmitting, via the base station, data transmission beams (DTBs) as a function of the feedback messages and the SBs, and applying a spatial diversity policy and a beamforming policy based on the feedback messages.

Embodiments of this application provide an EIRP control method and a communications apparatus. In this solution, an EIRP threshold of a spatial grid may be determined, where the EIRP threshold of the spatial grid is related to a safety distance of the spatial grid; and a plurality of beams are controlled, so that a total EIRP of the plurality of beams in the spatial grid is less than or equal to the EIRP threshold. According to the foregoing solution, a total EIRP of each spatial grid may be controlled, at a granularity of a spatial grid, to not exceed an EIRP threshold of the spatial grid, so that deployment of a MIMO access network device satisfies an EMF strength requirement specified by each country/region.

Maximum MIMO layer aware DL positioning reference signal (PRS) reception

A user equipment (UE) receives a maximum downlink (DL) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) layer configuration for DL communications, such as control signals or data signals, in one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs) and a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration for receiving DL PRS. The UE receives DL PRS in an active BWP using a number of reception antennas based on, e.g., at least equal to, the maximum number of DL MIMO layers in the active bandwidth part. The UE may be configured to transmit uplink (UL) PRS, e.g., SRS for positioning purposes, using at least a maximum number of transmission antennas that is configured for communications purposes.
