System and method for couch sag compensation in image guided radio therapy
A method and system for using in a two-modality apparatus. The two-modality apparatus comprises a couch with a table top, a first modality unit and a second modality unit. A second image of a target portion of an object when the table top is at a second working position of the second modality unit may be acquired. A second sag of the table top at a second measurement point of the table top according to the second image may be determined based on the image. A difference between a first sag of the table top at a first measurement point of the table top and the second sag may be estimated based on the second sag and standard data. The standard data provides a relationship relating to a sag of the table top positioned between the first modality unit and second modality unit.
DIRECT ACCELERATION MEASUREMENT OF A SUBJECT SUPPORT
A subject support (12) includes a fixed portion (22) and a moveable portion (11) coupled to the fixed portion and configured to move along at least one axis relative to the fixed portion (22), and the coupling includes one or more points of friction (32) that move during movement of the moveable portion (11) and which wear due to at least movement by the moveable portion (11). The moveable portion (11) receives and supports at least one of an object or a subject during an imaging procedure with an imaging device (18). One or more inertial measurement units (IMUs) (50) are affixed to or embedded in the moveable portion (11) that directly measure acceleration of translation of the moveable portion (11) along one or more axes.
PATIENT TABLE DESIGN WITH REDUCED ATTENUATION FOR EMISSION AND TRANSMITTION TOMOGRAPHY
A medical imaging subject support table includes a belt conveyor system with a conveyor belt (18) maintained in tension and passing through a bore (14) of an imaging device (12); and motorized pulleys (20) disposed at opposite ends of the bore to move the conveyor belt through the bore. Table supports (24) are positioned outside of the bore of the imaging device on opposite ends of the bore and support the conveyor belt outside the bore of the imaging device.
Table system and method for PET/CT imaging
The present disclosure provides a table and an imaging system and method for PET/CT imaging. The table may include a base, a bracket, and a plate movable relative to the bracket. The bracket may include a releasing position, a CT scan position, and a PET scan position. The table may extend the scan range of the CT scanner without changing the size of the imaging system.
Segmenting an angiography using an existing three-dimensional reconstruction
A method for segmenting a two-dimensional angiographic recording of a vessel of a body using a computing apparatus includes providing a three-dimensional reconstruction of the vessel of the body to the computing apparatus. The two-dimensional angiographic recording of the vessel of the body is provided on the computing apparatus. The three-dimensional reconstruction of the vessel of the body is registered with the two-dimensional recording of the vessel of the body. Spatial information of the three-dimensional reconstruction is projected onto the two-dimensional recording, and the two-dimensional recording is segmented using the spatial information projected onto the two-dimensional recording.
Monochromatic X-ray methods and apparatus
According to some aspects, an x-ray apparatus for imaging and/or radiation therapy is provided, the x-ray apparatus comprises an electron source capable of generating electrons, at least one first target arranged to receive electrons from the electron source, the at least one first target comprising material that, in response to being irradiated by the electrons, emits broad spectrum x-ray radiation, at least one second target arranged to receive at least some of the broad spectrum x-ray radiation, the at least one second target comprising material that, in response to irradiation by broad spectrum x-ray radiation from the first target, emits monochromatic x-ray radiation, and at least one detector positioned to detect at least some of the monochromatic x-ray radiation emitted from the at least one second target. According to some aspects, a relatively low cost, relatively small footprint x-ray apparatus for generating monochromatic x-ray radiation suitable for medical/clinical purposes and appropriate for use in existing medical facilities such as hospitals and/or small clinical settings is provided.
X-ray CT device and bed device
An X-ray CT device according to an embodiment includes a gantry, a top board, and a movement mechanism. The gantry includes an X-ray tube that generates X-rays and a detector that detects the X-rays. The top board inserts the subject into the opening section of the gantry. The movement mechanism moves the top board in a longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the position of the top board in a vertical direction at the position that intersects with the path of the X-rays is changed at substantially the same slope relative to the movement distance of the top board when the top board is moved in the longitudinal direction.
Imaging system for a vertebral level
The present invention relates to an imaging system (10) for a vertebral level, an identification method for a vertebral level, a computer program element for controlling such system and a computer readable medium having stored such computer program element. The imaging system (10) comprises a determination unit (11), a definition unit (12), an imaging unit (13), and a processing unit (14). The determination unit (11) determines a target vertebral level. The definition unit (12) defines an anatomical landmark of a spine. The imaging unit (13) provides a series of X-ray images along the spine based on the landmark. The processing unit (14) identifies the target vertebral level in at least one of the X-ray images. The processing unit (14) further stitches the X-ray images to a continuous panoramic image of the spine and identifies the target vertebral level in the panoramic image.
X-ray diagnostic apparatus and medical image processing method
An X ray diagnostic apparatus includes an X ray tube generating X rays, a first detector detecting the X rays, at least one second detector arranged in front of a first detection surface of the first detector and including a second detection surface narrower than the first detection surface and indicator points provided on a rear surface of the second detection surface, a projection data generation unit generating first projection data based on an output from the first detector, and a positional shift detection unit detecting a positional shift of the second detector relative to the first detector in accordance with an imaging direction by using the first projection data and a predetermined positional relationship between the points and detection elements in the second detector.
