The bracket may include a releasing position, a CT scan position, and a PET scan position. The table may extend the scan range of the CT scanner without changing the size of the imaging system.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COUCH SAG COMPENSATION
The method may include obtaining a first set of imaging data affording a sagittal view relating to a subject and a first couch supporting the subject. The first couch may have a plurality of first positions reflected in the first set of imaging data as a first conformation. The method may also include determining a displacement field associated with a first set of imaging data with respect to the reference conformation based on the first conformation and a reference conformation. The method may further include adjusting the first set of imaging data with respect to the reference conformation based on the displacement field. In some embodiments, the method may include obtaining an image of the subject with respect to the reference conformation based on the adjusted first set of imaging data.
PATIENT SUPPORT SYSTEM AND LEVELLING SYSTEM FOR SUCH A PATIENT SUPPORT SYSTEM
The current invention relates to a patient support table, comprising a frame that is mounted to the floor, an upright column with a table top support system and mounted to the frame and supporting a table top that is movable longitudinally with respect to the column and to accommodate a person. The patient table further comprises a tilt actuator and a control device to control the at least one tilt actuator, and comprising an inclinometer, a data storage and a processing unit that in use compares data from the inclinometer with data from the data storage. The control device comprises a force sensor to determine a load supported by the table top and/or a position sensor to determine the longitudinal position of the table top with respect to a reference, wherein the control device in use calculates a set point for the at least one tilt actuator and actuates the tilt actuator to move or maintain the table top to the set tilted position. The invention also relates to a control device and to the use van such a control device and/or such a patient table.
X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An X ray diagnostic apparatus includes an X ray tube generating X rays, a first detector detecting the X rays, at least one second detector arranged in front of a first detection surface of the first detector and including a second detection surface narrower than the first detection surface and indicator points provided on a rear surface of the second detection surface, a projection data generation unit generating first projection data based on an output from the first detector, and a positional shift detection unit detecting a positional shift of the second detector relative to the first detector in accordance with an imaging direction by using the first projection data and a predetermined positional relationship between the points and detection elements in the second detector.
IMAGING SYSTEM FOR A VERTEBRAL LEVEL
The present invention relates to an imaging system (10) for a vertebral level, an identification method for a vertebral level, a computer program element for controlling such system and a computer readable medium having stored such computer program element. The imaging system (10) comprises a determination unit (11), a definition unit (12), an imaging unit (13), and a processing unit (14). The determination unit (11) determines a target vertebral level. The definition unit (12) defines an anatomical landmark of a spine. The imaging unit (13) provides a series of X-ray images along the spine based on the landmark. The processing unit (14) identifies the target vertebral level in at least one of the X-ray images. The processing unit (14) further stitches the X-ray images to a continuous panoramic image of the spine and identifies the target vertebral level in the panoramic image.
Panel with strain gauges for measuring deformation information
A panel includes a plurality of integrated strain gauges for measuring deformation information relating to the panel. The strain gauges are arranged parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the panel and have at least two different lengths.
Methods and systems for correcting table deflection
Various methods and systems are provided for estimating and compensating for table deflection in reconstructed images. In one embodiment, a method for computed tomography (CT) imaging comprises reconstructing images from data acquired during a helical CT scan where table deflection parameters are estimated and the reconstruction is adjusted based on the table deflection parameters. In this way, images may be reconstructed without artifacts caused by table deflection.
Radiotherapy apparatus for delivering radiation to a subject
The present application relates to a radiotherapy apparatus for delivering radiation to a subject. The apparatus comprises a source of radiation configured to rotate about an isocenter and emit radiation in a radiation plane containing said isocentre. The apparatus also comprises a subject support surface configured such that a portion of the subject support surface can be located substantially at the isocenter. The apparatus also comprises a subject support surface rotation mechanism configured to rotate the subject support surface about an axis of rotation that passes through the isocenter, wherein the subject support surface rotation mechanism is located outside the radiation plane.
