An example method for positioning a user equipment includes receiving a first positioning reference signal from a first base station at a first time, receiving a first timing difference value based on two or more positioning reference signals transmitted from the first base station, receiving a second positioning reference signal from a second base station at a second time, receiving a second timing difference value based on two or more positioning reference signals transmitted from the second base station, and determining a time difference of arrival between the first positioning reference signal and the second positioning reference signal based at least in part on the first timing difference value and the second timing difference value.
METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING USER EQUIPMENT WIRELESS LOCALIZATION USING RECONFIGURABLE INTELLIGENT SURFACES, RELATED DEVICE AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
A method for optimizing user equipment wireless localization using K reconfigurable intelligent surfaces reflecting signal(s) transmitted between a base station and the user equipment, the method including, whatever an a priori position of the user equipment selecting at least one reconfigurable intelligent surface to activate among the K reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, determining phases of elements of the at least one reconfigurable intelligent surface, by minimizing a predetermined cost function, depending on the a priori position, and accounting for a predetermined position error bound of the user equipment, while ensuring that at most K reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are selected, ensuring that the minimum Euclidian distance between two consecutive selected reconfigurable intelligent surfaces of a predetermined configuration, is strictly higher than a predetermined value limiting interference between additional multipath components generated by the at least one reconfigurable intelligent surface.
SELECTIVE NULL-FORMING ON ONE OR MORE BEAMS BASED ON NULL-FORMING PROCEDURE INFORMATION
In an aspect, a network device (e.g., BS, core network component, etc.) determines a self-interference measurement (SIM) configuration associated with null-forming at a wireless device (e.g., UE or BS), the null-forming associated with steering at least one receive beam of the wireless device and/or at least one transmit beam of the wireless device away from one or more external sources of self-interference. The network device transmits the SIM configuration to the wireless device. The wireless device performs at least one null-forming procedure in accordance with the SIM configuration.
Circular polarized quadrifilar helix antennas electronics
A system is disclosed and includes a plurality of antennas. Each antenna includes a plurality of conductive elements and is circularly polarized. The plurality of conductive elements is configured to receive radio frequency (RF) signals. A first end of each of the plurality of conductive elements is electrically coupled to a printed circuit board, which includes a plurality of coupler circuits and a switching circuit. The plurality of coupler circuits is configured to combine the RF signals and output a signal to the switching circuit based on the combined RF signals. The switching circuit is configured to selectively output one of the signals based on at least one control port of the switching circuit being selectively activated by a control signal. The system also includes a microcontroller configured to determine, based on at least one of the signals, an angle of arrival associated with the plurality of antennas.
Staged search radio direction finding
A technology is described for direction finding. An example of the technology can include executing stages of an N stage search for a direction finding estimate of a plane wave X. The stages of the N stage search include searching a search space in a calibration set having a plurality of points in space and calculating a direction finding estimate, wherein a first search space is a coarse set of points in space and subsequent search spaces selected for subsequent stages of the N stage search are increasingly finer sets of points in the space, and a solution for the direction finding estimate output by a stage of the N stage search is used to select a next search space for a next stage of the N stage search. A direction finding estimate output by a final stage of the N stage search is the final direction finding estimate.
