Aspects of wireless communication are described, including a radiofrequency (RF) amplifier chip, configured for transmitting or receiving data, comprising a first substrate comprising a first material and a second substrate comprising a second material that is different from the first material. The first substrate and the second substrate may be lattice-matched such that an interface region between the first substrate and the second substrate exhibits an sp3 carbon peak at about 1332 cm.Math..sup.1 having a full width half maximum of no more than 5.0 cm.Math..sup.1 as measured by Raman spectroscopy. In some aspects, the first substrate and said second substrate permit said chip to transmit or receive data at a transfer rate of at least 500 megabits per second and a frequency of at least 8 GHz. In some aspects, the RF amplifier chip is part of a satellite transmitter.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF PAGING IN GEO SATELLITE-BASED 5G NETWORKS
Systems and methods implementing a satellite radio access network (SRAN) receiving a registration request from a user terminal (UT), determining a current tracking area (TA) of the UT, forwarding the registration request and the current TA to an access and mobility management function (AMF), and receiving a registration accept from the AMF that indicates a UT registration area. An implementation receives a UT page command from the AMF and, in response, determines a satellite beam for paging the UT, from among a plurality of satellite beams using the identifier of the current TA, and pages the UT on the satellite beam.
Ephemeris Data Signaling-Delta Over Time
According to some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises: receiving a broadcast of full ephemeris data for a serving cell satellite, the broadcast of full ephemeris data occurring at a first periodicity; determining a position of the serving cell satellite based on the full ephemeris data; receiving a broadcast of delta ephemeris data for the serving cell satellite, the broadcast of delta ephemeris data occurring at a second periodicity more frequent than the first periodicity; and determining a position of the serving cell satellite based on the full ephemeris data and the delta ephemeris data.
Next generation mobile satellite system and gateway design
An apparatus for establishing communication between a base station and different generation terminals includes a multi-protocol stack capable of processing user traffic received from different generation terminals. The apparatus also includes a common physical layer that receives user traffic from different generation terminals and identifies the generation of the terminal sending the user traffic. The user traffic is then processed and routed based on the terminal generation. Traffic can be prioritized across current and legacy terminal types based on a variety of factors.
HANDOVER COORDINATION FOR LARGE AREA COVERAGE
A method for performing a handover operation includes using one or more processors of a non-terrestrial node to initiate communication with a first terrestrial node of a network, the terrestrial node having a first unique node identifier and a cell identifier and store a mapping that associates the first unique node identifier with the cell identifier. The method also includes using the one or more processors to receive an indicator that the mapping is subject to change and update the mapping to associate a second unique node identifier of a second terrestrial node of the network with the cell identifier based on the received indicator.
TRAFFIC DISTRIBUTION CONTROL FOR WIRELESS HYBRID ACCESS NETWORKS
An apparatus which is able to communicate based on at least two communication methods, wherein each communication method is configured to communicate with access networks by using at least one subflow, acquires (S41) information from at least one of the communication methods for at least one of the subflows and provides (S42) the information to a subflow control entity at a higher layer of the apparatus. Based on the information, the subflow control entity evaluates (S43) whether a change will occur in the at least one of the subflows. In case the change is evaluated to occur in the at least one of the subflows, the subflow control entity evaluates (S44) when the change will occur, and evaluates (S45) whether the change evaluated to occur impacts a specific requirement of delivering packets by using the at least one of the subflows. In case the change is evaluated to impact the specific requirement, the subflow control entity changes (S46) usage of the subflows for delivering packets.
Control method, unmanned aerial vehicle, and remote control device
A method is provided for controlling a signal transmission power of at least one of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or a remote control device. The method includes determining whether a remote control distance between the UAV and the remote control device increases or decreases. The method also includes increasing or maintaining a signal transmission power of at least one of the UAV or the remote control device if the remote control distance increases. The method further includes decreasing or maintaining the signal transmission power of at least one of the UAV or the remote control device if the remote control distance decreases.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION IN NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORK
An operation method of a terminal in a non-terrestrial network may comprise when a transmission operation of downlink data is started in an on-duration according to a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, starting a first timer indicating a first time interval required for a retransmission operation of the downlink data; starting a second timer when the first timer expires; performing a downlink monitoring operation in a second time interval according to the second timer; and when control information for the retransmission operation is received from a non-terrestrial node in the second time interval, receiving the downlink data from the non-terrestrial node in a downlink resource indicated by the control information, wherein the first timer is configured in consideration of a transmission delay between the non-terrestrial node and the terminal.
