Ultrasound diagnostic apparatus and operation method of ultrasound diagnostic apparatus

A control circuit of an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus having an ultrasound endoscope controls a transmission circuit to generate a transmission signal, which includes a diagnostic driving pulse applied to each of a plurality of ultrasound transducers that generate ultrasound waves for acquiring an ultrasound image, in the case of acquiring the ultrasound image, and controls the transmission circuit to generate a polarization driving pulse, which has a polarization driving voltage different from voltage of the diagnostic driving pulse within the same settable voltage range as the diagnostic driving pulse and has a frequency different from a probe frequency band for acquiring the ultrasound image, in order to perform the polarization processing of the plurality of ultrasound transducers in the case of performing the polarization processing.

Hybrid hardware and computer vision-based tracking system and method

The present disclosure relates to a tracking system for augmented reality in a clinical setting. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to an approach for combining hardware-based tracking and computer vision-based tracking in order to accurately overlay a projected image onto a video image.

Composite imagery rendering in diminished reality environment for medical diagnosis

Techniques for composite imagery rendering in a diminished reality environment for medical diagnosis are provided. In one aspect, a method for composite image rendering in a diminished reality environment for medical diagnosis includes: analyzing medical imagery scans for a patient visiting a medical office for consultation with a physician for a diagnosis; obtaining real-time images of the patient who is physically located in the medical office; creating a composite image of the patient comprising relevant portions of the medical imagery scans combined with the real-time images of the patient; selecting one or more portions of the composite image to diminish for the diagnosis; and rendering the composite image in a diminished reality environment.

SYSTEMS FOR INDICATING PARAMETERS IN AN IMAGING DATA SET AND METHODS OF USE

Systems and methods for aiding users in viewing, assessing and analyzing images, especially images of lumens and medical devices contained within the lumens. Systems and methods for interacting with images of lumens and medical devices, for example through a graphical user interface.

In exemplary examples, methods and systems for treating vascular disease by implanting a stent within the vasculature and using intravascular imaging to determine and ensure that the stent was property implanted and producing a desirable and effective results is disclosed herein. For example, a system may obtain optical shape sensing data and intravascular imaging data for a blood vessel. The system may process the optical shape sensing data and the intravascular imaging data to generate a three-dimensional model and image of the blood vessel immediately before and immediately after stent implantation into the blood vessel, and perform a precise comparison of the before and after images to ensure that the stent was properly implanted and will produce or is producing a desirable and effective result. The precise comparison may be based on a derived diameter associated with the location at which the stent is placed in the blood vessel based on the generated pre and post generated three-dimensional models.

Systems and methods are provided for use of analysis assistant during ultrasound imaging. Database may be acquired on a medical imaging technique during medical imaging based examination of a patient; and one or more medical images may be generated, based on the acquired dataset, and displayed. An end-result associated with at least one medical image may be provided, when triggered analysis assistance relating to the end-result associated with the at least one medical image may be provided. Providing the analysis assistance may include, automatically: identifying one or more intermediate steps performed or used in obtaining or determining the end-result; determining for each of the one or more intermediate steps corresponding information; and providing to a user the determined information associated with each of the one or more intermediate steps.

ULTRASOUND AND STEREO IMAGING SYSTEM FOR DEEP TISSUE VISUALIZATION

Systems and methods for deep tissue visualization using ultrasound and stereo imaging are provided. Various aspects of the present disclosure provide intraoperative identification of sub-tissue surface critical structures (e.g., identification of ureters, nerves, and/or vessels). For example, various surgical visualization systems disclosed herein can enable the visualization of one or more portions of critical structures below the surface of the tissue in an anatomical field in real-time. Such surgical visualization systems can augment the clinician's endoscopic view of an anatomical field with a virtual, real-time depiction of the critical structure as a visible image overlay on the surface of visible tissue in the field of view of the clinician.

Methods and systems for detecting pleural irregularities in medical images

Various methods and systems are provided for a medical imaging system. In one embodiment, a method includes acquiring a series of medical images of a lung, identifying a pleural line in each medical image of the series, evaluating the pleural line for irregularities in each medical image of the series, and outputting an annotated version of each medical image of the series, the annotated version including visual markers for healthy pleura and irregular pleura. In this way, an operator of the medical imaging system may be alerted to pleural irregularities during a scan.

Method and system for multi-modal tissue classification

A method for multi-modal tissue classification of an anatomical tissue involves a generation of a tissue classification volume (40) of the anatomical tissue derived from a spatial registration and an image extraction of one or more MRI features of the anatomical tissue and one or more ultrasound image features of the anatomical tissue. The method further involves a classification of each voxel of the tissue classification volume (40) as one of a plurality of tissue types including a healthy tissue voxel and an unhealthy tissue voxel.
