CANNULATED ASPIRATION SCREW DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

An improved cannulated aspiration screw device and method of use thereof for removal of, inter alia, bone marrow from a patient's bone. The cannulated aspiration screw device includes a shaft at its proximate end and a drilling dip section at its distal end and has a removable insert, that when inserted in the cannulated aspiration screw device at is proximate end prevents the flow of materials into and through the cannulated aspiration screw device while the device is being screwed into the bone. Once the cannulated aspiration screw device is screwed in place, the removable insert is removed, and an aspiration device (such as a surgical syringe) is then connected at the proximate end of the cannulated aspiration screw device (generally utilizing a connector) and aspiration is then performed using the aspiration device.

Graft collection and containment system for bone defects

A device for containing bone graft material comprises a body including an inner sleeve extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve and extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end such that a bone graft collecting space is formed therebetween.

Assistive device for removing a biological sample from an intraosseous device, and related kits and methods

Assistive apparatuses or devices, kits, and methods for assisting with removal of a biological sample from an intraosseous device are described. Some of the present assistive apparatuses comprise: a body including a first end and a second end, and defining a channel with a first portion having a first transverse dimension, a second portion disposed between the first portion and the second end and having a second transverse dimension that is smaller than the first transvers dimension, and a longitudinal axis extending through the first portion and the second portion, the body further including a protrusion extending laterally outward relative to the longitudinal axis; where the channel is configured to receive a portion of an intraosseous device having a hub and a cannula extending from the hub, with the first portion of the channel receiving a part of the hub, and the second portion of the channel receiving a part of the cannula while preventing passage of the hub through the second portion.

Bone harvester and bone marrow removal system and method

A bone harvester and bone marrow removal system. The bone harvester can include a body defining a channel extending longitudinally therethrough from a distal to a proximal portion of the body. The distal portion can include a cutting tip. Bone marrow may be drawn through the channel.

A medical compound preparation and delivery system, including a delivery device, the device including a depressible trigger operably coupled to move a plunger; a cartridge releasably coupled to the delivery device, the cartridge defining a lumen therethrough to receive at least a portion of the plunger therein; a receptacle defining a cavity therein for receiving a medical compound; a first tube slidably positionable within the cavity of the receptacle; and a second tube slidably positionable within the first tube, wherein the cartridge is slidably positionable within the second tube.

Device and method for inserting a cannula to a predetermined depth within a bone, irrespective of the thickness of the tissue above the bone

An intraosseous device, comprising a cannula through which life-saving fluids are transfusible into or out of bone marrow of a target bone when the cannula is penetrated into the target bone; a stylet which is engageable with the cannula; and means for causing penetration of the stylet and cannula, when mutually engaged, to a predefined depth α within the target bone with respect to an outer surface of the target bone, the depth α being irrespective of a thickness of tissue above the target bone.
