Avoiding reselection of a fake cell in a wireless communication network

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for avoiding reselection of fake cell. The method includes transmitting a first request for network service of a wireless communication network in a first cell from user equipment, receiving a first reject message without integrity protection, adding the first cell to a set-aside cell list, and selecting a cell from other cells that are not included in the set-aside cell list to request network service.

Techniques and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first message from a network entity that indicates a configuration for reporting spatial domain basis function updates to the network entity. The UE may transmit a full channel state information (CSI) report and a partial CSI report to the network entity based on the indicated configuration. The full CSI report may indicate a set of spatial domain basis functions and the partial CSI report may indicate an update for the set of spatial domain basis functions. The update for the set of spatial domain basis functions may be relative to the full CSI report or a previously transmitted partial CSI report. In some examples, the UE may receive a second message from the network entity based on the partial CSI report.

Methods, apparatus and systems for determining a size of a feedback signal in a wireless communication are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving first downlink control information having a first format and second downlink control information having a second format from a wireless communication node; receiving a plurality of transport blocks from the wireless communication node; and transmitting a plurality of feedback signals to the wireless communication node. Each of the plurality of transport blocks is scheduled by one of the first downlink control information and the second downlink control information. Each of the plurality of feedback signals has the same size and corresponds to a respective one of the plurality of transport blocks.

Implicitly linking aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) reports to CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for implicitly linking aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) reports to CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources. In an aspect, the UE may be instructed to report on specific CSI-RS resource(s) via explicit signaling in the UE grant. Other aspects disclose techniques for implicit CSI-RS resource selection by the UE that require fewer signaling resources. Instead of explicitly signaling CSI-RS resources to the UE, the UE may implicitly select CSI-RS resource for CSI feedback reporting based on information known to the UE, e.g. a subframe on which a reporting request is received. This may reduce the impact of the additional signaling in the UE grant.

SUPPORTING OR PERFORMING DISTRIBUTION OF A PAGING MESSAGE

A wireless device, a first network node and methods therein, for supporting or performing distribution of paging messages within a Radio Access Network Area, RANA, of a wireless network. The wireless device collects RANA related information from network nodes visited by the wireless device. The RANA related information indicates which RANAs are supported by the respective network nodes. A list of network nodes that support a RANA is extracted from the collected RANA related information, and the list is sent to the first network node to enable distribution of paging messages by the first network node within the RANA.
