UPLINK TRANSMISSION COLLISION MANAGEMENT
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may identify, when using carrier aggregation and a plurality of component carrier groups, first traffic associated with a first service type and second traffic associated with a second service type for concurrent transmission. The user equipment may transmit, concurrently, the first traffic associated with the first service type using a first component carrier group of the plurality of component carrier groups, and the second traffic associated with the second service type using a second component carrier group of the plurality of component carrier groups. Numerous other aspects are provided.
CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION REPORTING ON LICENSED AND UNLICENSED CARRIERS
A user equipment includes a receiver and a transmitter and is configured to report channel state information (CSI) to a base station in a communication system in which a plurality of downlink component carriers and at least one uplink component carrier are configured. The receiver receives, in a slot nTrigger, a trigger message that triggers reporting of the CSI for at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier of the plurality of downlink component carriers. The transmitter transmits, in a slot nReport, the CSI based on reference signals present in a slot nRS on the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier. Responsive to the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier being occupied for a period of time for a bursty downlink transmission, only the reference signals in the slot nRS are evaluated for the CSI, and other slots in the period of time are not evaluated for the CSI.
Systems and Methods for Adaptive Pilot Allocation
System and method embodiments are provided for adaptive pilot allocation. In an embodiment, a method in a communication controller for adaptive pilot allocation includes determining at least one channel condition parameter for a wireless channel between the communications controller and a user equipment (UE). The method includes selecting a microframe pilot pattern to use for subsequent communications on the wireless channel according to the at least one channel condition parameter. Additionally, the method includes signaling an indication of the selected microframe pilot pattern to the user equipment. The method further includes transmitting data to the UE using the selected microframe pilot pattern.
Space-time line coding method and system
A space-time line coding system includes: in multiple antenna communication configured by at least one transmission antenna and at least two reception antennas, a transmitting end which encodes two information symbols using channel state information and sequentially transmits two encoded information symbols to a receiving end using the at least one transmission antenna; and a receiving end which receives two encoded information symbols using at least the two reception antennas and combines the received signals without channel state information.
Method and apparatus for CSI reporting in wireless communication system
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure provides a priority of CSI reporting in a mobile communication system, and provides a method in which a UE performs CSI reporting with high priority according to the priority. The method includes receiving channel state information (CSI) feedback configuration information from a base station; identifying a CSI reporting to be performed based on the CSI feedback configuration information, as a result of two CSI reportings overlapping; and performing the identified CSI reporting to the base station. The CSI reporting is identified based on types of CSI reportings, and a CSI reporting associated with a reference signal received power (RSRP) is prioritized over a CSI reporting that is not associated with the RSRP.
QUANTIZATION OF CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION IN MULTIPLE ANTENNA SYSTEMS
A method of transmission over multiple wireless channels in a multiple antenna system includes storing channel modulation matrices at a transmitter; receiving quantized channel state information at the transmitter from plural receivers; selecting a transmission modulation matrix using the quantized channel state information from the stored channel modulation matrices; and transmitting over the multiple channels to the plural receivers using the selected transmission modulation matrix. In another embodiment, the method includes storing, at one or more receivers, indexes of modulation matrices generated by a capacity enhancing algorithm; upon a selected one of the one or more receivers receiving a transmission from the transmitter, the selected receiver selecting a modulation matrix from the stored modulation matrices that optimizes transmission between the transmitter and the selected receiver; the selected receiver sending an index representing the selected modulation matrix; and receiving the index at the transmitter from the selected receiver.

The user equipment may transmit, concurrently, the first traffic associated with the first service type using a first component carrier group of the plurality of component carrier groups, and the second traffic associated with the second service type using a second component carrier group of the plurality of component carrier groups. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Encoding of enhanced type II channel state information
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to encode channel state information (CSI), e.g., enhanced type II CSI. A common frequency basis may be selected. Spatial-frequency coefficients, frequency basis related information, and/or spatial basis related information may be determined. At least a portion of the coefficients and/or information may be encoded in a CSI report.
Methods for Reference Determination in Inter-RAT TDOA
A wireless device adapted for operation according to two or more radio access technologies, RATs, obtains positioning reference signal configuration information by sending (602), to a location server, a request for assistance, the request for assistance comprising information about a cell serving the wireless device according to a first RAT. The wireless device receives (604), in response to the request for assistance, positioning reference signal configuration information, the positioning reference signal configuration information identifying one or more signals transmitted according to a second RAT, for measurement by the wireless device. The wireless device measures (606) at least one of the identified one or more signals and may report the measurements and/or estimate a location for the wireless device based on the measurements.
Supporting or performing distribution of a paging message
A wireless device, a first network node and methods therein, for supporting or performing distribution of paging messages within a Radio Access Network Area, RANA, of a wireless network. The wireless device collects RANA related information from network nodes visited by the wireless device. The RANA related information indicates which RANAs are supported by the respective network nodes. A list of network nodes that support a RANA is extracted from the collected RANA related information, and the list is sent to the first network node to enable distribution of paging messages by the first network node within the RANA.
