User equipment and method for small data transmission
A user equipment (UE) and a method for small data transmission (SDT) are provided. The method includes receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) release message from a Base Station (BS), the RRC release message indicating an SDT configuration including a Configured Grant (CG) configuration and a timer; initiating a transmission on an Uplink (UL) resource while the UE is in an RRC_INACTIVE state, the UL resource being either configured by the CG configuration or scheduled by a UL grant from the BS; starting or restarting the timer after initiating the transmission; and monitoring a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) addressed to a specific Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) on a specific search space while the timer is running.
Retransmission technique with compressed feedback in a wireless communication system
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for a retransmission protocol that utilizes compressed feedback. Various implementations relate generally to a compressed feedback technique for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ). Upon receiving a compressed feedback value, a sending device may generate a retransmission codeblock. The retransmission codeblock may be derived from multiple codeblocks in a set of codeblocks. A receiving device can use the retransmission codeblock to obtain any failed codeblock in the set of codeblocks based on all other previously decoded codeblocks in the set of codeblocks. Thus, the receiving device does not need to indicate which codeblock in the set failed, but only needs to send a compressed feedback value that indicates which sets of codeblocks have had a single codeblock failure.
Configuring hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft combining for a subset of HARQ processes
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft combining for a subset of HARQ processes supported by a user equipment (UE). A method performed by the UE generally includes transmitting capability information indicating a capability of the UE to perform hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft combining and receiving, based on the capability information, configuration information from the BS configuring the UE to perform soft combining on only a subset of a set of HARQ processes.
Method and apparatus for deciding packet communication range in terminal direct communication system
A communication method and system for converging a 5.sup.th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT) are provided. The communication method and system may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method and apparatus for determining a reception area of a packet in a V2X system are provided. In described aspects, a reception terminal may receive location information of a transmitting terminal and range information of transmitted data, and may determine whether to provide feedback regarding the transmitted data based on the location information and the range information.
User equipment and communication method
A user equipment that is provided in a wireless communication system including a base station and the user equipment includes an acquisition unit that acquires information indicating a resource position where a downlink data channel is mapped or a resource position where an uplink data channel is mapped in a radio frame and a timing when an HARQ response to downlink data is transmitted from the user equipment or a timing when an HARQ response to uplink data is received from the base station and a communication unit that transmits an HARQ response to downlink data received by the downlink data channel at a timing when the HARQ response to the downlink data is transmitted and receives an HARQ response to data transmitted by the uplink data channel or retransmission data scheduling information at a timing when the HARQ response to the uplink data is received.
Enhancement for bandwidth part (BWP) operation towards secondary cell (SCELL) dormancy indication
A method for enhancing Bandwidth Part (BWP) operation towards Secondary Cell (SCell) dormancy indication is proposed. A User Equipment (UE) detects a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format including an SCell dormancy indication that indicates an active BWP change for a serving cell. The UE performs BWP switching for the serving cell in response to the DCI format. The UE stops transmission or reception in the serving cell during a time duration from a slot containing a last symbol of the DCI format, wherein the time duration includes a first period of time of delay for the BWP switching and a second period of time of interruption to other active serving cells.
Transport Block Repetition with Multiple Uplink Configured Grant Configurations
The invention refers to a method, performed by a user equipment, UE, for transmitting data based on a plurality of configured grants, CGs, of resources of a wireless network, the method comprising: receiving, from a network node serving the UE, configurations of a plurality of CGs of resources allocated for the UE to transmit data; transmitting, to the network node, an initial transmission of a transport block, TB, of data using first resources associated with a first one of the CGs, wherein the first CG supports a plurality of repetitions of a single TB; selecting second resources associated with a second one of the CGs for transmission of a subsequent repetition of the TB; and transmitting, to the network node, the subsequent TB repetition using the second resources associated with the second CG; the invention further refers to a method in a corresponding network node and to a corresponding UE and a network node respectively.
CONTROL INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD
The technology of this application provides a control information transmission method, so that sizes of different downlink control information (DCI) can be aligned, thereby reducing types of DCI sizes and reducing power consumption when a terminal detects DCI. The method includes a terminal device detecting first DCI in a first search space, where the first DCI is used to indicate an active bandwidth part (BWP) of the terminal device, a size of the first DCI and a size of second DCI are aligned, the second DCI can be sent by a network device to the terminal device in a first common search space, and the second DCI is used to schedule a system message, a paging message, or a random access response (RAR).
Downlink Data Sending Method, Downlink Data Receiving Method, and Apparatus
This application discloses a downlink data sending method, a downlink data receiving method, and an apparatus, and relates to the communication field, to resolve a problem that feedback information fails to be sent, and consequently, a retransmission probability of downlink data is increased, and data transmission efficiency is reduced. When at least two of P PDSCHs in one slot overlap in time domain, a network device cancels sending of partially overlapping PDSCHs. If one first PDSCH whose sending is canceled is the last repetition in PDSCH repetitions of first data, and a terminal device receives another repetition in the PDSCH repetitions of the first data before the first PDSCH, the terminal device still sends feedback information for the first data to the network device in a feedback slot corresponding to the first PDSCH.
REQUEST FOR A CANCELED HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST CODEBOOK
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a request to transmit one or more canceled hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebooks, the one or more canceled HARQ codebooks having been scheduled for transmission within a time window preceding receiving the request. The UE may transmit the one or more canceled HARQ codebooks via one or more resources associated with the request. Numerous other aspects are described.
