Apparatus, consisting of a power supply having a first electrical connection to a relatively high voltage source and connectable to ablation circuitry in a catheter via a second electrical connection. There are rechargeable first and second subsidiary power sources in the power supply. The apparatus also has a control unit, and a first switch alternately connecting the ablation circuitry to the first and second subsidiary power sources responsively to control signals from the control unit. The apparatus also has a second switch alternately connecting one of the first and second subsidiary power sources to the high voltage source for recharging thereof responsively to the control signals while the one of the first and second subsidiary power sources is disconnected from the ablation circuitry and another of the first and second subsidiary power sources is connected to the ablation circuitry by the first switch.

Heated endovascular catheter injection device

An embodiment includes a system comprising: a catheter; an optic fiber having a long axis and a short axis that is orthogonal to the long axis; first and second radiopaque elements coupled to the optic fiber; a first wire coupled to the optic fiber and extending from the first radiopaque element to the second radiopaque element; a fluid; wherein (a)(i) the first wire wraps at least partially around an exterior surface of the optic fiber; (a)(ii) an outer diameter of the first wire and an outer diameter of the optic fiber are collectively less than an inner diameter of the catheter, and (a)(iii) the first wire is configured to center the optic fiber within the catheter within a plane orthogonal to the long axis.

CATHETER CLOG DETECTION IN THROMBECTOMY SYSTEMS
20250195090 · 2025-06-19 ·

A thrombectomy system includes an aspiration catheter configured for advancement through vasculature of a subject to facilitate clot removal from the vasculature of the subject. The thrombectomy system includes a fluid jet proximate to a distal end of the aspiration catheter. The thrombectomy system includes a flow direction sensor positioned on the aspiration catheter proximate to the fluid jet. The flow direction sensor is configured to detect a flow direction of fluid at a distal region of the aspiration catheter during operation of a clot removal state of the thrombectomy system. The flow direction of the fluid at the distal region of the aspiration catheter indicates a clog state of the aspiration catheter.

CRYOSURGERY SYSTEM
20250331909 · 2025-10-30 ·

A cryosurgery system, comprising two or more cryoprobes is provided. Each cryoprobe includes a probe shaft having a distal section insertable in a patient and a proximal coupler. A connector interface with connection ports permits connections to a corresponding cryoprobe. Each connection port can have an isolating sleeve between the proximal coupler and the connection port when the proximal coupler of the respective cryoprobe is inserted in the connection port. The isolating sleeve can include an electrically insulating material so as to electrically isolate each cryoprobe connected to its corresponding connection port from other cryoprobes connected to their corresponding connection ports. An electrical measurement system can be connected to each connection port to detect electrical signals associated with the probe shaft. A control system can detect, based on the electrical signals detected by the electrical measurement system whether the probe shaft is electrically connected to the electrical heater.

Methods and devices for estimating tip-tissue coupling of an ablation catheter tip

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to, for example, a method for determining a temperature distribution across an ablation catheter tip. The method including contacting tissue with a distal tip of an ablation catheter, receiving temperature data from a plurality of thermocouples distributed about the distal tip of the ablation catheter, and based on the received temperature data, determine a temperature distribution across the distal tip of the ablation catheter. Also disclosed is a method of controlling the temperature of an ablation catheter tip while creating a desired lesion using various energy sources and energy delivery methodologies.

Eustachian tube modification

Disclosed embodiments relate to devices, systems, and methods of shaping, shrinking, opening, dilating, stiffening, or otherwise modifying a Eustachian tube and its surrounding tissue in order to improve the Eustachian tube's function.
