CONTENTION WINDOW ADJUSTMENT FOR NEW RADIO UNLICENSED/SIDELINK
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may perform a first transmission to one or more receiving devices, the first transmission associated with a transmission type. The transmitting device may determine a feedback response for the first transmission based on monitoring for feedback messages from the one or more receiving devices in response to the first transmission. The transmitting device may select a contention window size for performing one or more subsequent transmissions based at least in part on the feedback response and the transmission type. The transmitting device may perform the one or more subsequent transmissions in accordance with a clear channel assessment procedure using the selected contention window size.
Entity Establishment Processing Method and Apparatus
An entity establishment processing method and an apparatus are provided. The processing method includes: A terminal side device receives first indication information from a first network side device, where the first indication information is used to trigger reestablishment of a first PDCP entity of the terminal side device. When a first bearer corresponding to the first PDCP entity is not a radio bearer used to perform duplication transmission between the terminal side device and a core network side device, in a process in which the terminal side device reestablishes the first PDCP entity based on the first indication information, the terminal side device sets a parameter of the first PDCP entity to an initial value.
Method and apparatus for channel access in unlicensed band in wireless communication system
Disclosed are: a communication technique for merging, with IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G system; and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail, security, and safety-related services, and the like) on the basis of 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for channel access in a wireless communication system operating in an unlicensed band. More particularly, disclosed are a method by which a node for transmitting a signal through an unlicensed band determines a channel occupation state of the unlicensed band, and a method for transmitting the signal to the unlicensed band according to the determined channel occupation state of the unlicensed band.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE, PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DATA UNIT
A communication device, processing device or method constructs M RLC PDUs including M RLC SDUs, respectively, where M is larger than 1; submits, for a transmission opportunity, only L RLC PDUs for L RLC SDUs with lowest L SNs among the M RLC PDUs to a MAC layer, where L<M and the L RLC PDUs include a first RLC PDU having a poll to trigger status reporting at a receiving device; transmits the L RLC PDUs to the receiving device; constructs a second RLC PDU including a second RLC SDU having a highest SN among SNs of RLC SDUs submitted to the MAC layer, when the poll retransmission timer started upon submitting the first RLC PDU having the poll expires and no new RLC SDU or RLC SDU segment can be transmitted.
Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving duplicate packets in next-generation mobile communication system
A communication method and system for converging a 5.sup.th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT) is provided. The method includes intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The disclosure provides a packet processing method of a transmitter that include transmitting a radio link control (RLC) service data unit (SDU) to a receiver; receiving, from the receiver, a first message including information about whether the RLC SDU is successfully transmitted; and transmitting a first indicator indicating successful transmission of the RLC SDU from an RLC entity of the transmitter to a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity of the transmitter when the receiver receives the RLC SDU.
Location-based route management for vehicle-to-everything relay communications
The subject matter described herein is directed towards a technology that increases the reliability of transmitting information, by propagating received information in a location-controlled and route managed multiple-stage chain communication in a wireless communication system. A transmitting device transmits a broadcast or group-cast communication message in conjunction with transmitter and receiver location data (e.g., absolute or quantized coordinates). An intermediate device that receives the communication message determines a communication path based on the received location data, and determines whether the intermediate device is within the communication path based on its own location. Only intermediate devices that are within the communications path, and that otherwise satisfy retransmission policy, perform the retransmission. In one aspect, the communication path that is determined can be shaped based on one or more other factors, such as whether the communication message is highly reliable data traffic.
CONTROLLING TIMEOUT EVENTS FOR DATA PACKET TRANSMISSIONS
The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling a timeout event for a data packet transmission in a wireless communications network, and a node performing the method. In an aspect, a method of controlling a timeout event for a data packet transmission in a wireless communications network is provided, wherein a data packet retransmission timer initially is set to a timeout value indicating the maximum allowed round-trip time (RTT) for the data packet transmission and a timeout event occurs upon the retransmission timer expiring. The method includes observing the RTT for the data packet transmission over a connection in the network, increasing, upon the retransmission timer expiring before a measured value is available for the observed RTT, the timeout value for the retransmission timer, and determining whether a currently set timeout value for the retransmission timer is to be decreased or not.
PACKET CODING BASED NETWORK COMMUNICATION
A method for data communication between a first node and a second node includes forming one or more redundancy messages from data messages at the first node using an error correcting code and transmitting first messages from the first node to the second node over a data path, the transmitted first messages including the data messages and the one or more redundancy messages. Second messages are received at the first node from the second node, which are indicative of: (i) a rate of arrival at the second node of the first messages, and (ii) successful and unsuccessful delivery of the first messages. A transmission rate limit and a window size are maintained according to the received second messages. Transmission of additional messages from the first node to the second node is limited according to the maintained transmission rate limit and window size.
