A mowing device for mowing material between rows of planted crops in an agricultural field, comprising a series of mower assemblies attached to a tractor and spaced from each other so that each mower assembly is located between an adjacent pair of rose of a printed crop. Multiple blades are mounted for rotation on each mower assembly for cutting material growing in the space between adjacent pairs of rows of a planted crop. A first deflector in front of each mower assembly moves planted crops around the outside of the mower assemblies so as not to be cut by the mower assemblies. A second deflector may be provided within each mower assembly and located rearwardly of the blades to push mowed material laterally toward the adjacent rows of a planted crop.

When the cover is in the open position, a user may access the cutting reel from a top end of the frame.

A broadcast spreader assembly for spreading granular material over a yard, field, or the like includes a hopper for holding granular material, a motor for driving a rotating drive shaft having a distribution chamber in a side of the rotating drive shaft, and a spreader mechanism. The rotating distribution chamber delivers a constant dosage of granular material to the spreader mechanism with each rotation thereof. The broadcast spreader may be remotely controlled by software on a smart phone, tablet or other computing device, and the rotational speed of the drive shaft and distribution chamber may vary in accordance with the ground speed of the broadcast spreader, in order to administer the proper dosage of granular material to a specific area or acreage of land. The broadcast spreader assembly is attachable to a spreader mechanism, such as a lawn or blower, or the like.
