20230231974 · 2023-07-20 ·

One disclosed example system includes a reception room meeting device configured for establishing a video conference with a device associated with a remote receptionist. The reception room meeting device sends a request for a video meeting with one of a plurality of candidate remote receptionists in response to receiving an activation signal triggered by a visitor to a reception area, and establishes the video meeting with a device associated with one remote receptionist selected based on the request. The system further includes a virtual receptionist system configured to access visitor data obtained by various input devices at the reception area, and determine the status of the visitor based on the visitor data. The virtual receptionist system further transmits the status of the visitor to the device associated with the selected remote receptionist to facilitate the check-in process.

Group study system

A group study system is described. The group study system allows for students to form study groups with other students in the same class or related classes by utilizing various technologies that make such a system possible. The system provides for an anonymous creation of the study sessions and maintains the anonymity until all students joining the study session participate in the study session. These sessions can be in person and virtual. Hybrid and virtual sessions are becoming more and more important with the increasing presence of online education. This system harnesses technology in an innovative way to do something that was not possible years ago by enabling students to gather in a learning environment with other students who previously did not know each other. Additionally, the system operates to allow crowd sourcing of data for the input of exam data, including date and time of the exam in order to automatically extend exam reminders.

EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT DEVICE, EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND PROGRAM
20230016819 · 2023-01-19 ·

The equipment management device includes an information collection unit, a specific state detection unit, a cause estimation unit, and a countermeasure process execution unit. The information collection unit acquires a video of a conference room or a sound of the conference room. The specific state detection unit detects that equipment provided in the conference room is in a specific state on the basis of a result of analyzing the video or the sound. The cause estimation unit acquires equipment information about the equipment when the equipment has been detected to be in the specific state and estimates a cause of the specific state on the basis of the equipment information. The countermeasure process execution unit selects and executes a countermeasure process to be executed on the basis of the estimated cause.

Proximity based audio collaboration

A method includes: defining, by a computer device, an audio collaborative environment; defining, by the computer device, an access control of the audio collaborative environment, wherein the access control includes a geofence; receiving, by the computer device, a request from at least one user device to connect to the audio collaborative environment; determining, by the computer device, the at least one user device satisfies the access control; connecting, by the computer device, the at least one user device to an audio channel of the audio collaborative environment; recording, by the computer device, audio data transmitted on the audio channel by the at least one user device; storing, by the computer device, the audio data in a record; tagging, by the computer device, respective portions of the audio data in the record; and presenting one of the respective portions of the audio data to a user based on the tagging.

Electronic event facilitating systems and methods

Electronic systems and methods for developing a person's cognitive skills such as feedback giving skills are contemplated. The systems and methods provide a procedure through which participants follow to formulate and issue feedback to other individuals. Feedback is given through a feedback app. The systems and methods involve participation of feedback recipients and also judges. The procedure involves each feedback recipient giving a presentation in a period of time and each judge providing feedback to each presentation. The procedure is performed by executing an event which can be created from an event app provided by the system. The event app also executes the created event, and completion of the event allows the system to provide feedback results to the participants, feedback recipients, judges, and other individuals based on information received during the event. The flow of the event is also controllable from the event app.

Collaborative access to virtual desktops

A system is described for collaborative access to a virtual desktop through separate remote client devices. An owner of the virtual desktop can initiate a session with the virtual desktop through a client on her client device. The owner can request through her client to create a collaborative session, identifying one or more collaborators. Links for joining the virtual desktop can be generated and an invitation can be sent to each collaborator. A collaborator can accept the invitation and a client application can be launched on the collaborator's client and routed to the virtual desktop. Once authorized, collaborators can be connected to the virtual desktop session. Each collaborator in the session may view the GUI of the virtual desktop in her client application. Input control can be managed and delegated to collaborators by the owner of the session.

Asynchronous collaboration in a communication platform

Asynchronous collaboration via a communication platform is described. A message representative of an asynchronous meeting can be displayed via a user interface of a communication platform. The user interface can include an affordance to enable a user to add a snippet of content to the asynchronous meeting. In response to detecting an actuation of the affordance, an input user interface that includes an option to record or upload the snippet of content can be displayed. The snippet of content can be received from a client of a user associated with the asynchronous meeting and can be associated with other snippet(s) of content added by other user(s) associated with the asynchronous meeting. A preview summary of snippet(s) of content associated with the asynchronous meeting can be displayed in association with the message, wherein each snippet of content is viewable via a thread associated with the message.

Indication of communication across applications

In a device including a processor and a computer-readable medium, the computer-readable medium includes executable instructions causing the processor to control the device to perform functions of (i) displaying, via a display, a GUI for a first communication application, the GUI including a first portion displaying content of a first communication session associated with the first communication application, wherein participants of the first communication session includes a user of the device, and a second portion including a plurality of graphical elements, each graphical element associated with one of a plurality of functionalities related to a second communication application different from the first communication application; (ii) detecting an activity related to a second communication session associated with the second communication application; and (iii) in response to detecting the activity, displaying, via the second portion of the GUI, an indication of the detected activity related to the second communication session.

Conferencing with error state HID notification

A conferencing system may include a data input port and an ingest system to receive signals through the data input port from a separate conference data source. The ingest system may include a notification subsystem to: identify an error state with respect to the signals received through the data input port; and output a human interface device (HID) notification to a conferencing application, wherein the HID notification includes the identified error state.

PERSISTENCE OF OBFUSCATED CONTENT IN LIVESTREAM DATA

In an approach to persistence of obfuscated content in livestream data, one or more computer processors receive a video stream. One or more computer processors identify a physical writing space within the video stream. One or more computer processors capture text written on the physical writing space by a presenter. One or more computer processors store the captured text in a tracking corpus. One or more computer processors monitor a position of the presenter with respect to the physical writing space. One or more computer processors determine at least a subset of the captured text is obfuscated from a viewer of the video stream on a device of the viewer. One or more computer processors identify the at least subset of the captured text. One or more computer processors render the at least subset of the captured text in the device of the viewer.
