DATA CENTER RESELECTION
An initial data center is selected to host the online conference. This data center can be selected based on the locations of the participants, a weighting (or ‘priority’) of the participants, or a combination of the two (e.g., locations that are weighted by the participant's priority.) Typically, the data center closest to the centroid (i.e., geometric center, or ‘center of mass’) of the participants is selected. In anticipation that participants will join and/or leaver the conference, a list is calculated that each possible change to a respective data center that will be selected if that change occurs. This list may be distributed to the data centers that, if selected, would host the online conference.
WEIGHTED DATA CENTER RESELECTION

Mobile terminal and method of controlling therefor for selectively sending messages using multiple message input windows
A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, by which a message inputted before or after a message reception can be selectively sent when a message is received from a counterpart while composing a message. The present invention includes the steps of if a counterpart message is externally received in the course of a message input to a message input window and a message is additionally inputted to the message input window, applying a visual effect to either a message inputted before receiving the counterpart message or the additionally inputted message and if a send command is received, sending a message corresponding to the send command to a counterpart, wherein the message corresponding to the send command is selected from a message having the visual effect applied thereto and a message not having the visual effect applied thereto among messages displayed on the message input window.
Automated pausing of audio and/or video during a conferencing session
Embodiments include an audio analyzer to analyze audio data received from a user computing system operating as a participant in a conference managed by a conferencing application and to detect one or audio pause conditions; a video analyzer to analyze video data received from the user computing system and to detect one or video pause conditions; and a conferencing manager to automatically pause distribution of the audio data to other participants of the conference when the one or more audio pause conditions are detected and automatically pause distribution of the video data to the other participants when the one or more video pause conditions are detected.
DYNAMICALLY MODIFYING LIVE VIDEO STREAMS FOR PARTICIPANT DEVICES IN DIGITAL VIDEO ROOMS
This disclosure describes a video room system that can efficiently and flexibly generate and facilitate video rooms for video chatting between participant devices by prioritizing video streams to provide to participant devices based on performance parameters. For example, the video room system can provide different video room streams to different participant devices based on the performance parameters of the participant devices. In addition, the video room system can customize or tailor video room streams based on identifying dominant speaker devices, determining connections between participant devices as indicated by a social graph of a social networking system, and/or based on join methods utilized by participant devices to join a video room.
VIRTUAL EXPO ANALYTICS
One example method includes receiving, at a video conference server, interaction data representing a plurality of participant interactions in a virtual expo with a plurality of virtual expo elements; storing the interaction data in a data store, the interaction data including a participant identifier, a virtual expo element identifier, and an interaction characteristic; determining one or more analytics for one or more of the plurality of virtual expo elements based on the interaction data; and causing the one or more analytics for one or more of the plurality of virtual expo elements to be displayed on a client device.
PARTICIPANT INTERACTIONS DURING A VIRTUAL EXPO
One example method includes hosting, by a video conference provider, a virtual expo; receiving, from a first client device associated with a first participant in the virtual expo, a request to enter a meeting with a second participant in the virtual expo; providing, to a second client device associated with the second participant, a notification of the request to enter the meeting; receiving, from the second client device, an approval of the request; and in response to receiving the approval, joining the first client device to a second virtual meeting.
VIRTUAL EXPO BOOTH PREVIEWS
One example method for virtual expo booth previews includes joining a virtual expo hosted by a video conference provider, the virtual expo including a plurality of virtual expo booths; presenting a graphical representation of the virtual expo and one or more virtual expo booths of the plurality of virtual expo booths; receiving an input indicating a first expo booth of the plurality of virtual expo booths; receiving, from the video conference provider, one or more multimedia streams associated with the first virtual expo booth; and presenting the one or more multimedia streams
CREATING VIDEO CONFERENCE EXPOS
One example method includes receiving configuration information for a virtual expo, the configuration information includes information associated with one or more virtual expo booths; generating a virtual expo floor based on the one or more virtual expo booths; establishing a virtual meeting comprising the virtual expo; receiving requests to join the virtual expo from a plurality of client devices; joining each client device of the plurality of client devices to the virtual meeting; providing, to each joined client device, information describing the virtual expo floor and locations of each of the one or more virtual expo booths; providing a location of a respective participant avatar on the virtual expo floor; receiving, from a first client devices, a selection of a first virtual expo booth; and join the first client device to a second virtual meeting associated with the first expo booth.
APPLICATION COLLABORATION SYSTEM AND RELATED METHOD
An application collaboration system comprises at least one manager device and at least one user device, being connected to a common server, each one through at least one communication channel, and configured to implement shared use functions that are in common with each other and manager use functions and user use functions that are different from each other, the manager device comprising a first communication interface with the common server, and the user device comprising a second communication interface with the common server, the communication interfaces being configured to display and operate on the shared use functions on the manager device and the user device respectively.
