The device can include a wireless transceiver, a power loss detection circuit, a communication loss detection circuit, a power monitoring circuit, and an output circuit. The device is configurable to provide a preselected communication loss action upon detecting communication loss, a preselected power loss action upon detecting power loss, and a preselected load power fault action upon detecting a load power fault.
Voice activation method for service provisioning on smart assistant devices
A device and a method for authenticating a user. The method includes selecting the phrase key from a plurality of phrase keys. The method also includes receiving, from a target service a file that includes parsed data based on speech recognition processing of a phrase spoken by a user. Additionally, the method includes sending a notification the target service, upon a determination that the parsed data matches a phrase key. The method further includes receiving a set of user credentials from the target service and sending the set of user credentials to the virtual assistant device.
Home automation (HA) system including virtual assistant audible notification based upon learned device operational pattern and related methods
A home automation (HA) system may include HA operation devices within a user living area and an audible virtual assistant device within the user living area. The HA system may also include an HA hub device to provide communications for the HA operation devices, and a controller. The controller may be configured to store historical operational data for each of the HA operation devices based upon a user within the user living area, and use machine learning to determine an operational pattern of at least one of the HA operation devices based upon the stored historical operational data. The controller may also be configured to monitor operation of the HA operation devices and cooperate with the audible virtual assistant device to generate an audible notification based upon a determined operation of the at least one HA operation device according to the operational pattern.
Systems and methods for anticipatory locking and unlocking of a smart-sensor door lock
An electronic device associated with a lock device obtains a number of users detected within a premises, and detects a trigger event related to a lock device and premises. When the trigger event is detected, a target state of the lock device is determined based on: (1) the number of users within the premises, and (2) user security profiles indicating a desired target state of the lock device when a respective user is within the premises. A current state of the lock device is determined, and if the current state and the target state of the lock device are not the same, instructions are provided to the lock device based on the target state.
METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY BUILDING ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONING RULE LIST IN SMART HOME, AND DEVICE
Disclosed in embodiments of the present disclosure are a method for dynamically building an environment conditioning rule list in smart home, and a device. The method comprises: upon successful access of a smart home network by a first smart home apparatus, acquiring an environment conditioning function of the first smart home apparatus, a smart home apparatus set having access to the smart home network, and environment conditioning functions of one or more smart home apparatuses in the set, and determining, from the one or more smart home apparatuses, one or more second smart home apparatuses having the same environment conditioning function as the first smart home apparatus, to dynamically build an environment conditioning rule list of the smart home network. The method achieves dynamic building of apparatus rule list of the smart home network when a smart home apparatus accesses the network for the first time, and enables highly efficient coordination between multiple smart home apparatuses having the same environment conditioning function.
Notification system for personal and shared devices
In one embodiment, a method includes: determining that a notification is to be transmitted to at least one shared device of a household, the shared device comprising a display screen and being shared by a plurality of members of the household; identifying a plurality of personal devices currently located in the household, each of the plurality of personal devices belonging to a single member of the household; selecting a notification format to use for the notification, the selected notification format corresponding to a highest priority user profile associated with a personal device from the identified plurality of personal devices currently located in said household; and transmitting the notification in the selected notification format to the at least one shared device for display.
Forming a security network including integrated security system components and network devices
An integrated security system is described that integrates broadband and mobile access and control with conventional security systems and premise devices to provide a tri-mode security network (broadband, cellular/GSM, POTS access) that enables users to remotely stay connected to their premises. The integrated security system, while delivering remote premise monitoring and control functionality to conventional monitored premise protection, complements existing premise protection equipment. The integrated security system integrates into the premise network and couples wirelessly with the conventional security panel, enabling broadband access to premise security systems. Automation devices (cameras, lamp modules, thermostats, etc.) can be added, enabling users to remotely see live video and/or pictures and control home devices via their personal web portal or webpage, mobile phone, and/or other remote client device. Users can also receive notifications via email or text message when happenings occur, or do not occur, in their home.
ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT DEVICE, ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT METHOD
An activity management device includes a data acquirer, an inferrer, an information acquirer, and an outputter. The data acquirer acquires in-residence data relating to a living environment of a user and acquired in a residence of the user. The inferrer infers a past or future change event in the lifestyle pattern of the user based on the in-residence data acquired by the data acquirer. The information acquirer acquires recommendation information which is information corresponding to the change event inferred by the inferrer and which prompts the user to perform an activity according to the change in the lifestyle pattern. The outputter outputs the recommendation information acquired by the information acquirer.
