SESSION MANAGEMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a session management method and an apparatus. The technology is specifically related to sending, by user equipment, a NAS message to an AGF, where the NAS message includes a PDU session establishment request message used to request to establish a PDU session, receiving, by the user equipment, a PDU session establishment accept message returned by a network side device, and establishing, by the user equipment, an access session with the AGF, where the access session is an access session related to the PDU session. The user equipment sends the NAS message to establish the PDU session, and establishes the access session with the AGF. Because the access session is related to the PDU session, the user equipment can map the PDU session to the access session, so that the user equipment accesses a 5G CN through a fixed network.
Graph based routing through multiple public clouds
Some embodiments establish for an entity a virtual network over several public clouds of several public cloud providers and/or in several regions. In some embodiments, the virtual network is an overlay network that spans across several public clouds to interconnect one or more private networks (e.g., networks within branches, divisions, departments of the entity or their associated datacenters), mobile users, and SaaS (Software as a Service) provider machines, and other web applications of the entity. The virtual network in some embodiments can be configured to optimize the routing of the entity's data messages to their destinations for best end-to-end performance, reliability and security, while trying to minimize the routing of this traffic through the Internet. Also, the virtual network in some embodiments can be configured to optimize the layer 4 processing of the data message flows passing through the network.
MODULE UNIT FOR CONNECTING A DATA BUS SUBSCRIBER
A module unit for connecting a data bus participant to a local bus. The module unit has a first input interface and a first output interface which can be connected to the local bus, a first data connection interface which can be connected to the data bus participant, and a first switch which is adapted so as to assume a first or a second switch state depending on a control input from the data bus participant, connect the first input interface to the first output interface in the first switch state, and connect the first data connection interface to the first output interface in the second switch state.
Virtual network provider
ENHANCED HANDLING OF MULTICAST DATA STREAMS WITHIN A BROADBAND ACCESS NETWORK OF A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
A method for handling of multicast data streams within a broadband access network of a telecommunications network includes: a specific service edge node receiving a join request message from or through a specific customer premises equipment; an activation request message being transmitted, by the specific service edge node, to a multicast controller node within the broadband access network; and the multicast controller node generating and/or replicating multicast data stream-related data packets and injecting these multicast data stream-related data packets, using a corresponding session identifier information, into a point-to-point-protocol connection or tunneling protocol connection between the specific service edge node and the specific customer premises equipment.
Server initiated remote device registration
A machine implemented method of server initiated registration of a remote device with a second server when the remote device is provisioned or pre-provisioned for registration with a first server, the method comprising: transmitting a bootstrap message from a bootstrap server to the first server, the bootstrap message comprising instruction for registration of the remote device with the second server; receiving the bootstrap message at the first server; sending, from the first server, the bootstrap message to the remote device; and registering the remote device with the second server.
Data transmission in a communications network
In a method for data transmission in a communications network, data frames containing metadata and payloads are transmitted via point-to-point connections between a respective transmitter and a receiver according to a communications protocol. For each point-to-point connection, a transmission list of the data frames to be transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver is kept. In addition, a priority set of at least three interrupt priorities of pairs with differing significance is provided, and the communications protocol permits each data frame of a transmission list to be assigned an interrupt priority and to interrupt a current transmission of a data frame of the transmission list in order to transfer a data frame that is contained in the transmission list and that has been assigned a higher interrupt priority than the currently transferred data frame.
PPPOE EXTENSION OVER LAYER 2 SWITCH EMBEDDING PPPOE AGENT
A network system is provided. The network system includes a first network device and a second network device running in data link layer (L2). The first network device includes a first switch and a first PPPoE (Point-to-Point over Ethernet) agent integrally coupled to the first switch. The second network device also includes a second switch and a second PPPoE agent integrally coupled to the second switch. The network system further includes a PPPoE client running in network layer (L3) that communicates to the first PPPoE agent and a PPPoE server in L3 that communicates to the second PPPoE agent. The PPPoE client uses a broadcast (Bcast) MAC address in an initial IPCP (Internet Protocol Control Protocol) negotiation message between the PPPoE client and the PPPoE server.
DEPLOYING FIREWALL FOR VIRTUAL NETWORK DEFINED OVER PUBLIC CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE
COORDINATING PSEUDOWIRE CONNECTION CHARACTERISTICS AND MULTI-HOMED PROVIDER EDGE DEVICE CAPABILITIES
A device may store first information regarding a first pseudowire connection with a first device, wherein the first pseudowire connection provides access to an Ethernet virtual private network (EVPN) to communicate with a host device. The device may store second information regarding a second pseudowire connection with a second device, wherein the second pseudowire connection provides access to the EVPN to communicate with the host device. The device may receive a message that includes a configuration identifier and identify the configuration identifier. The device may change a first characteristic of the first pseudowire connection based on the configuration identifier. The device may change a second characteristic of the second pseudowire connection based on the configuration identifier. The device may receive data from the host device based on changing the first characteristic of the first pseudowire connection and changing the second characteristic of the second pseudowire connection.
