Access network with remote access servers
A method includes: a controller node receiving, via a message sent on a first segment of a control session path, identity information of at least one specific network termination node, or of an access node port of a specific line termination node used by the at least one specific network termination node; upon a lookup request message being sent to at least one repository node or repository functionality by the controller node, a lookup response message being sent by the at least one repository node or repository functionality, based on the identity information, the lookup response message comprising an indication of a specific external service edge node; and based on the indication of the specific external service edge node, set up or establishment of a second segment of the control session path towards the specific external service edge node being performed.
VIRTUAL NETWORK DEVICE AND RELATED METHOD
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a virtual network device. The virtual network device is configured to implement a broadband network gateway BNG function, and the virtual network device includes a load balance unit and a first forwarding unit; the load balance unit is configured to: receive a first data packet from a first user terminal, determine the first forwarding unit according to the first data packet and a first correspondence, and send the first data packet to the first forwarding unit, where the first correspondence indicates mapping from the first user terminal to the first forwarding unit; and the first forwarding unit is configured to receive and forward the first data packet. In addition, the embodiments of the present invention further disclose a method for implementing load sharing in a virtual network device.

User migration
A NFV Manager receives user traffic notified by each sub vBRAS of each vBRAS. The NFV Manager calculates user traffic of the each vBRAS, selects a source vBRAS and a target vBRAS from all of the vBRASs, selects a migration sub vBRAS needing to migrate from the source vBRAS to the target vBRAS, and notifies the source vBRAS to send data relevant to the migration sub vBRAS to the target vBRAS.
SERVICE REQUEST MANAGEMENT
A computer-implemented system and method for managing service requests are disclosed. The system includes a service provider, having a number of server devices, that provides a service response in response to a client service request. The service response includes a service instance ID associated with a server and a connection lease. A communication processing component routes a first client service request to one of the servers. Subsequent client service requests and responses are transmitted directly between the client device and the server device associated with service instance ID included in the first service response for the duration of the connection lease.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING ARP/ND PERFORMANCE ON HOST COMMUNICATION DEVICES
Systems and methods for periodically refreshing the MAC-IP bindings in the database based on message exchanges made with the plurality of second network devices under a secondary protocol different than the at least one of an ARP protocol and an ND protocol.
Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) Packet Encapsulation
A packet transmission method includes: receiving, by a forwarding device through a port, a protocol packet from another forwarding device or user equipment; performing, by the forwarding device, virtual extensible local area network VXLAN encapsulation on the protocol packet to generate a first VXLAN packet, where the first VXLAN packet includes the protocol packet and the port information; and sending, by the forwarding device, the first VXLAN packet to the controller.
Method for synchronized communication in access network applied G.hn technology thereto, access network multiplexer, access network terminal and access network system using the same
The present invention relates to a method for synchronized communication in access network applied G.hn technology thereto, access network multiplexer (GAM), an access network terminal (GNT), and access network system using the same, which comprises a plurality of domain masters that communicate with the access network terminal; a clock controller controlling at least one of speed or output of the signal that the domain master transmits; and an access network terminal which communicates with the access network multiplexer (GAM) connecting the domain masters and G.hn specification physical layer, and at least one of speed or output of the signal that the access terminal transmits is controlled by the clock control unit. The present invention provides efficient data transmission and high bandwidth to service subscribers with applying G.hn technology to conventional coaxial cable or telephone line, thereby reducing crosstalk occurred in data transmission.
FORWARDING PACKET
Provided are a method and an apparatus for forwarding a packet. Based on an example of the method, in a case of receiving an upstream Q-in-Q protocol packet through a port connected to an access device, an Edge Stream Gateway (ESGW) device forwards the upstream Q-in-Q protocol packet to a Virtual Broadband Remote Access Server (vBRAS) device through a Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) tunnel between the ESGW device and the vBRAS device; in a case of receiving an upstream Q-in-Q data packet through a port connected to the access device, the ESGW device removes a Q-in-Q tag of the upstream Q-in-Q data packet, determines that a destination Media Access Control (MAC) address of the upstream Ethernet data packet without the Q-in-Q tag is an MAC address of the ESGW device, and performs layer-3 forwarding based on a destination IP address of the upstream Ethernet data packet.
