DATA RECEIVING APPARATUS
A configuration for receiving transmission data at multiple rates where one rate is not necessarily a multiple of another is provided. A host board includes a receiving circuit, a cross point switch, and a switch control circuit. The receiving circuit includes a receiving unit configured to receive a first data signal transmitted at a first rate, and a second receiving unit configured to receive a second data signal transmitted at a second rate different from the first rate. The cross point switch includes input terminals and output terminals. The cross point switch is configured to define a path of signal between the input terminals and the output terminals to route an input data signal to at least one of the first receiving unit and the second receiving unit.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN IP NETWORK CORE
A control device can be used to control a base station, a switch, and a gateway leading to an external network. The device may communicate with a connection server connecting to a cloud computer system and with virtual functions of a control plane of the core network as instantiated in the computer system. The device may manage a database identifying for at least one terminal at least one of the virtual functions allocated to that terminal and a database associating at least one of the virtual functions with an identifier and a state of that function, and update the databases on the basis of information received from the connection server and/or from the virtual functions. The device may use one and/or the other of the databases in order to set up and/or maintain a user plane for a terminal between the base station, the switch, and the interconnection gateway.
Secure data transmission
To securely transmit data from a communication terminal (TC) to an application server (SA) over a telecommunications network (RT), the communication terminal (TC) being connected to the application server (SA) via an unsecure access network (RAns) and being able to communicate with the application server (SA) via at least one secure access network (RAs), the communication terminal (TC) switches the connection with the application server (SA) from the unsecure access network (RAns) to a secure access network (RAs), when personal data (DonP) is likely to be entered or is entered by the user, transmits the personal data (DonP) to the application server (SA) via the secure access network (RAs), and switches the connection with the application server (SA) from the secure access network (RAs) to an unsecure access network (RAns).
Providing multiple levels of service for wireless communication
Local breakout is provided by one or more nodes (e.g., a local access point and/or a local gateway) in a wireless network to facilitate access to one or more local services. In conjunction with local breakout, multiple IP points of presence relating to different levels of service may be provided for an access point. For example, one point of presence may relate to a local service while another point of presence may relate to a core network service.
CATV video and data transmission system with RF and digital combining network
Improved systems and methods for delivering CATV content over a fiber optic network from a transmitter. The transmitter preferably includes a combining network that combines CATV signals received from a CATV head end.
Method for propagating access policies
The present disclosure describes a network appliance and associated access policy protocol (APP) that communicates and obeys access policies within a network. The network appliance (APP node) propagates access policies to other APP nodes that can utilize the policies most effectively. When an access policy reaches the network boundary, intra network bandwidth is optimized. The access policies may be distributed and executed in the cloude.g. proxy firewall, proxy policy execution.
Method and system for layer-3 subscriber login in a cable data network
A subscriber login server is used for managing a subscriber login session. The login server is associated with a DHCP server for configuring a premise equipment device and operator-managed device. A subscriber login client at the premise equipment device securely communicates login username and password identifiers to the subscriber login server without using PPP technology. The login server retrieves matching identifiers from a RADIUS server and authorizes service with messages to the DHCP server and the CMTS. The login client can emulate a PPP login client so that a user's interface is similar to a PPPoE client. However, a layer-3 CMTS can be used instead of a layer-2 CMTS. In addition, subscriber authentication and accounting using RADIUS are preserved, positive network access control at the CMTS is maintained, and native IP traffic is routed or switched for maximum performance and QoS treatment.
METHOD FOR LINE CONTROL OF ACCESS NETWORK APPLIED G.HN TECHNOLOGY THERETO, ACCESS NETWORK MULTIPLEXER, ACCESS NETWORK TERMINAL, AND ACCESS NETWORK SYSTEM USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a method for line control of access network applied G.hn technology thereto, and access network multiplexer (GAM), access network terminal (GNT), and access network system using the method, which includes a domain master as a collection of G.hn nodes communicating with the end-point of the access network, a switch connecting the physical layer of G.hn specification with the multiple domain masters, and a controller controlling at least one of bandwidth, output, and signal to noise ratio (SNR) offset of the signal transmitted by at least one of the domain master and the end-point.
METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZED COMMUNICATION IN ACCESS NETWORK APPLIED G.HN TECHNOLOGY THERETO, ACCESS NETWORK MULTIPLEXER, ACCESS NETWORK TERMINAL AND ACCESS NETWORK SYSTEM USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a method for synchronized communication in access network applied G.hn technology thereto, access network multiplexer (GAM), an access network terminal (GNT), and access network system using the same, which comprises a plurality of domain masters that communicate with the access network terminal; a clock controller controlling at least one of speed or output of the signal that the domain master transmits; and an access network terminal which communicates with the access network multiplexer (GAM) connecting the domain masters and G.hn specification physical layer, and at least one of speed or output of the signal that the access terminal transmits is controlled by the clock control unit. The present invention provides efficient data transmission and high bandwidth to service subscribers with applying G.hn technology to conventional coaxial cable or telephone line, thereby reducing crosstalk occurred in data transmission.
Voice communication service from a social network
For the purpose of managing a voice communication service in a communication network between a first and at least a second communication terminal, the first and second communication terminals have respective communication identifiers in the communication network. The first and second communication identifiers are associated, at least at a server, with first and second social network identifiers of a social network. A communication request is received, indicating at least the first and second social network identifiers; subsequently, the second communication identifier is identified from the second social network identifier received in the communication request; and, finally, an application notification is transmitted to the second communication terminal on the basis of the second communication identifier. The application notification indicates the first social network identifier.
