Technologies for network discovery
Technologies for enhanced network discovery and configuration include a network with a fabric manager and multiple network devices. A network device requests platform information from a management controller and receives the platform information via a sideband interface. The network device broadcasts a discovery message indicative of the platform information on a link layer network. The fabric manager discovers the network topology with an enhanced link layer discovery protocol and creates a vPOD in the network. The vPOD includes an application network with multiple racks. The fabric manager creates a tagged network domain for the vPOD. The fabric manager sends an out-of-band configuration command to the network device with a tag associated with the vPOD. After receiving the out-of-band configuration command, the network device receives a packet, compares domain metadata of the packet to the tag received from the fabric manager, and routes the packet. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
System and method for a multi-tenant datacenter with layer 2 interconnection
Provided is a system and method for a multi-tenant datacenter with layer 2 cloud interconnection and cloud storage. More specifically, the datacenter providing cloud storage, includes a plurality of Client Systems coupled to a first datacenter each Client System having a set of infrastructure resources and an initial networking configuration; and a first cloud computing environment established in the first datacenter, and coupled to the Client Systems by OSI Layer 2 as a data link layer for the transfer of data frames, each frame having a plurality of OSI Layer 2 tags, the first cloud computing environment providing storage resources for allocation to at least two Client Systems, the plurality of OSI Layer 2 tags permitting the at least two Client Systems to have overlapping network configurations. An associated method of providing a multi-tenant datacenter with layer 2 cloud interconnection and cloud storage is also provided.
Extending enterprise trusted policy framework to cloud native applications
The present technology pertains to a system and method for extending enterprise networks' trusted policy frameworks to cloud-native applications. The present technology comprises sending, by an enterprise network controller, a first communication to a service mesh orchestrator for a service mesh, wherein the first communication informs the service mesh orchestrator of traffic segmentation policies to be applied to traffic originating at an enterprise network and of layer 7 extension headers which correspond to the enterprise network traffic segmentation policies.
Ethernet connectivity using layer 2 to layer 3 multiplexing
A provisioning method and apparatus provided herein are directed to provisioning of customer equipment (CEs) remotely located at different customer sites via Ethernet. By assigning a CE IP address to a CE where the CE IP address is associated with a plurality of virtual local area network (VLAN) tags and assigning an aggregation equipment (AE) IP address to an AE, first communication between the CE and the AE may be established using the CE IP address and the AE IP address, a VLAN tag from the plurality of VLAN tags at the CE based on information received from the AE may automatically be selected, and second communication between the CE and the AE may be established using the selected VLAN tag.
Systems and methods for providing a global virtual network (GVN)
Systems and methods for managing a global virtual network connection between an endpoint device and an access point server are disclosed. In one embodiment the network system may include an endpoint device, an access point server, and a control server. The endpoint device and the access point server may be connected with a first tunnel. The access point server and the control server may be connected with a second tunnel.
Slice allocation and interface to applications
A user equipment (UE) modem stores a route selection policy (URSP), the URSP associating each of a plurality of data network name (DNN) identifiers and a corresponding slice, wherein a first DNN identifier (ID) is associated with a first DNN and a first slice and a second DNN ID is associated with the first DNN and a second slice different than the first slice. The modem establishes a first protocol data unit (PDU) session with the first DNN and the first slice in response to receiving a first indication to start a first network interface associated with the first DNN ID. The modem establishes a second PDU session with the first DNN and the second slice in response to receiving a second indication to start a second network interface associated with the second DNN ID.
System and method for virtual interfaces and advanced smart routing in a global virtual network
Systems and methods for connecting devices via a virtual global network are disclosed. In one embodiment the network system may comprise an endpoint device including a tunnel manager and a first virtual interface, an access point server including at least one tunnel listener and a second virtual interface. One or more tunnels are formed connecting the tunnel managers and tunnel listeners. The virtual interfaces provide a logical point of access to the one or more tunnels.
