ONBOARD RELAY DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, RELAY DEVICE, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
An onboard relay device, an information processing method, a non-transitory storage medium storing a program, a relay device and an information processing system are disclosed. The onboard relay device relays data which is transmitted and received between a first onboard device connected to a first network and a second onboard device connected to a second network, and includes: a determination unit configured to determine whether the first network is a target for cooperation control in which a network state is changed along with the second network; and a control unit configured to transmit a request associated with a change of the network state to the second network when first data has been received from the first onboard device in a case where the first network is the target for the cooperation control.
IPv4 Gateway
A system and method for allowing legacy devices to operate on an IPv4 network is disclosed. The system includes a gateway device to interface between IPv4 devices and legacy devices. In some embodiments, the gateway device has a plurality of network interfaces to communicate with these legacy devices. The gateway device discovers the legacy devices that it can communicate with. The gateway device then enumerates these legacy devices in a manner that allows them to be accessible to the IPv4 device. In certain embodiments, the gateway enumerates each legacy device as a port on its IPv4 address.
ENTERPRISE CONTENT GATEWAY
The disclosure relates to content delivery systems such as gateways for use in locations where the services of many end user devices are provided by a common management entity, such as hospitality, dormitory, healthcare, or other enterprise settings. The disclosure includes a gateway system that is configurable to ingest content from a variety of signals (satellite, broadcast, cable, and IP), process the content to have additional desired features, and reassemble content in various forms for delivery to individual end user devices. The gateway can be constructed from a series of modular processing blades with specific processing functions all interconnected by a common backplane and managed by a control module. A gateway can be inserted downstream from a node to allow additional end units to be added without exceeding the node capacity.
Methods and apparatus for supporting devices of different types using a residential gateway
Methods and apparatus for providing bandwidth which can be used to support network connectivity and to obtain services from elements in a network, e.g., 5G network, are described. In various embodiments a DOCSIS link is connects a residential gateway at a customer premises to devices outside the customer premises, e.g., to devices in a 5G network or another network. Devices which support EAP authentication are provided with their dedicated bandwidth over the DOCSIS link. Devices which do not support EAP authentication, e,g, WiFi devices, share bandwidth to which a subscriber residing at the customer premise subscribes. Devices which support EAP authentication are provided reserved resources corresponding to a subscription associated with the individual device thereby allowing a user of a device which supports EAP authentication to obtain more bandwidth than is normally provided to a visited premises based on the service subscription associated with the visiting device.
Minimisation of handover gap time in the context of S2a IP session mobility
A method in a communication network for facilitating handover of a user equipment (UE) from access via a source access path to access via a target access path is provided. An internet protocol (IP) access is provided to the UE via the source access path and an indication that the UE has configured a communication interface for the target access path is obtained. Switching from providing IP access via the source access path to providing IP access to the UE via the target access path is performed. Further, instructions for releasing communication resources for the source access path are sent after the indication that the communication interface has been configured for the target access path is obtained.
RELAY DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A relay device according to an embodiment includes a communication unit that receives information, transmitted from a plurality of communication terminals, and transmits the received information to a server; and a deriving unit that, in accordance with the total number of pieces of information received by the communication unit between a first point and a second point that elapses a predetermined time period, derives the timing information related to the transmission timing of information transmitted after the second point by at least one communication terminal among the communication terminals, and the communication unit transmits the timing information to the at least one communication terminal.
Multi-access gateway for direct to residence communication services
Different residences can be communicatively linked to a communication backbone via a multi-access gateway, where each residence comprises an adapter through which a set of IP devices directly connect to the multi-access gateway via IPSec compliant communication channels. The multi-access gateway can connect each of the IP devices to remotely located resources. Telecommunication services can be provided to the IP devices in the residences for fees. The multi-access gateway can controls specifics of the telecommunication services, which can include emergency (e.g., 911) services, home control services, and residential administration services. Any of the telecommunication services can be initiated, modified, or terminated by a carrier maintaining the multi-access gateway on a per residence basis for any of the different residences.
Enterprise content gateway
The disclosure relates to content delivery systems such as gateways for use in locations where the services of many end user devices are provided by a common management entity, such as hospitality, dormitory, healthcare, or other enterprise settings. The disclosure includes methods of initializing a gateway configuration and operating a gateway by ingesting content from a variety of signals (satellite, broadcast, cable, and IP), processing the content to have additional desired features, and reassembling content in various forms for delivery to individual end user devices.
