Adaptive coding for wireless communication

A method and apparatus for transferring data maps the data to a modulation code using an encoder circuit having a configuration. A binary symbol of the data is mapped to a modulation code having a plurality of modulation digits and a modulation signal is generated based on the modulation code. A transmitter drive signal is modulated based on the modulation signal. A configuration of the encoder circuit is set based on a determined performance level. The transmitter drive signal may be used to produce an electromagnetic field by generating a positive, negative or zero electrical current in an induction coil of a first semiconductor die. A current induced by the electromagnetic field in an induction coil of a second semiconductor die is demodulated to recover the data whereby the data is transferred from the first semiconductor die to the second semiconductor die.

TRANSMITTER FOR CANCELLING SIMULTANEOUS SWITCHING NOISE AND DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD IN THE SAME

Disclosed are a transmitter capable of cancelling simultaneous switching noise while ensuring low costs and a small area and a data transmission method in the same. The transmitter includes an encoder configured to convert input data of two levels (1 and 0) into data of three levels (+1, 0, and 1) and an output unit configured to output the data converted by the encoder. Here, the encoder adds 1 bit to the input data such that the number of bits corresponding to logic 1 becomes an even number. In addition, a specific correlation is established between currents or voltages corresponding to at least two levels of levels +1, 0, and 1 so that +1 and 1 corresponding to the logic 1 are alternately arranged and a current flowing through a power line or a ground line is constant regardless of the input data.

A process and/or apparatus capable of facilitating network communication via a directly accessible network interface controller (NIC) in a virtualized environment is disclosed. The process, in some embodiments, is able to receive a packet stream traveling from a virtual machine (VM) to a direct-access configured NIC (DCN). After forwarding from an embedded switch (eSwitch) of the DCN to a virtual switch (vSwitch) residing in a hypervisor or VM monitor in accordance with at least a portion of content of the packet stream, a processed packet stream is generated by the hypervisor in response to the packet stream. The processed packet stream is subsequently transmitted from the vSwitch to the eSwitch for facilitating the processed packet stream to reach its destination.
