System and Method for Improving Content Fetching by Selecting Tunnel Devices
A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The tunnel device is selected based on an attribute, such as IP Geolocation. A tunnel bank server stores a list of available tunnels that may be used, associated with values of various attribute types. The tunnel devices initiate communication with the tunnel bank server, and stays connected to it, for allowing a communication session initiated by the tunnel bank server. Upon receiving a request from a client to a content and for specific attribute types and values, a tunnel is selected by the tunnel bank server, and is used as a tunnel for retrieving the required content from the web server, using standard protocol such as SOCKS, WebSocket or HTTP Proxy. The client only communicates with a super proxy server that manages the content fetching scheme.
Consistent binding of shared storage across clustered servers
An information handling system includes first and second nodes and a storage enclosure. The nodes share access to the storage enclosure. The nodes bind a logical unit number (LUN) in the storage enclosure consistently regardless of an order in which the two devices access the LUN. The system further preferably includes a switch between the nodes and the storage enclosure wherein multiple paths exist between a node and the storage enclosure. The storage enclosure preferably includes first and second storage processors and multiple ports per processor. The first node preferably includes first and second host bus adapters. The first host bus adapter preferably connects the node to a first of the switches and the second host bus adapter connects the node to a second of the switches. The system preferably includes multiple paths between the first node and a LUN in the storage enclosure.
Method of maintaining network address translation mapping and client device employing same
A client device and method for maintaining NAT mapping. In one embodiment the client device includes: (1) a network interface circuit operable to transmit a keepalive message on an interval to a NAT gateway and (2) an interval adjust circuit configured to: (2a) increment the interval upon an acknowledgment of the keepalive message and (2b) decrement the interval upon a failure to receive the acknowledgment.
ESTABLISHING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DATA STORAGE DEVICES
Systems and methods are disclosed for establishing connections between computing devices. A first computing device may communicate data via a symmetric NAT and a second computing device may communicate data via a cone NAT. The first computing device may establish a connection, such as a peer-to-peer (P2P) connection, between the first computing device and the second computing device via the symmetric NAT and the cone NAT.
Registration method for managing NAT shutdown
The present invention provides a registration method for managing NAT shutdown. In Internet communication field, a user must perform registrations intermittently to a server through NAT, and increase the time interval of registration step by step. But NAT itself will shutdown if no packet is passed through for a long period. The registration method of the present invention is to adjust the time interval of registration step by step so that the time interval of registration is slightly less than the shutdown time of NAT, and then fix the time interval of registration to assure that all of the Invite packet can pass through without blocking up by the shutdown of NAT.
REAL-TIME LIGHTWEIGHT NAT KEEP-ALIVE INTERVAL OPTIMIZATION FOR MULTI-SIM MOBILE DEVICES
A method includes setting, using at least one processor of an electronic device that includes multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) cards, a maximum Network Address Translation (NAT) interval to be a maximum value among NAT keep-alive intervals associated with the multiple SIM cards. The method also includes triggering, using the at least one processor, a partial call setup from a first SIM card of the multiple SIM cards to a second SIM card of the multiple SIM cards. The method further includes determining, using the at least one processor, whether the electronic device receives the partial call setup. In addition, the method includes, in response to determining that the electronic device receives the partial call setup, setting, using the at least one processor, the NAT keep-alive interval for each of the multiple SIM cards to be equal to the maximum NAT interval.
IoT topology analyzer defining an IoT topology and associated methods
An Internet of Things (IoT) topology analyzer includes an input to passively receive packets exchanged between IoT devices operating within a network and at least one IoT server connected to the network. A processor is coupled to the input and is configured to determine a number of IoT devices operating within the network based on the received packets, with the number of IoT devices used to define an IoT topology of the network.
Determining expiration time of bindings for network address translation devices
Methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, are described for determining expiration time of bindings for NAT devices. A first device receives a first request including a first source IP address/port pair of a first NAT binding, and transmits a response. The first device receives a second request including a second source IP address/port pair of a second NAT binding, and transmits a response. The first device sets a refresh time T1 of the first NAT binding to be shorter than an expected minimum expiration time of the first NAT binding, transmits one or more messages via the second NAT binding where a sending interval time T2 of the second NAT binding is longer than T1, increments T2 when a response is received, and if a response to any of the messages is not received, sets T1 equal to the last T2 value for which a response was received.
METHOD FOR MANAGING AT LEAST ONE COMMUNICATION OF AN ITEM OF TERMINAL EQUIPMENT IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK, METHODS FOR PROCESSING A COMMUNICATION ESTABLISHED WITH AN ITEM OF TERMINAL EQUIPMENT IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK, CORRESPONDING DEVICES, ITEM OF TERMINAL EQUIPMENT, ITEM OF PROXY EQUIPMENT AND COMPUTER PROGRAMS
A method for managing a communication according to a transport protocol of a terminal equipment in a communication network. The method includes: detecting presence, on a path allowing the terminal equipment to be reached on a second IP address of the terminal equipment, of a status function which maintains a status associated with a communication on the path, including transmitting a first message from a first IP resource of the terminal equipment, including a first IP address and a first port number, to a second IP resource of the terminal equipment, including the second IP address and a second port number, and deciding on presence of a status function on the path according to data received by the second IP resource in response the first message; and managing a communication of the terminal equipment on the path allowing the terminal equipment to be reached on the second IP address.
