System and Method for Improving Content Fetching by Selecting Tunnel Devices
20220173929 · 2022-06-02 ·

A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The tunnel device is selected based on an attribute, such as IP Geolocation. A tunnel bank server stores a list of available tunnels that may be used, associated with values of various attribute types. The tunnel devices initiate communication with the tunnel bank server, and stays connected to it, for allowing a communication session initiated by the tunnel bank server. Upon receiving a request from a client to a content and for specific attribute types and values, a tunnel is selected by the tunnel bank server, and is used as a tunnel for retrieving the required content from the web server, using standard protocol such as SOCKS, WebSocket or HTTP Proxy. The client only communicates with a super proxy server that manages the content fetching scheme.

A method of tunneling through a network separation device such as a firewall or a Network Address Translator comprising establishing via a custom socket factory coupled with a host device, a connection with a cloud server by tunneling through a network separation device; maintaining, via the custom socket factory, the connection with the cloud server through the network separation device; receiving, via the connection between the custom socket factory and the cloud server, connection information; and directly connecting, via the custom socket factory, to a client device using the connection information received from the cloud server.

Real-time lightweight NAT keep-alive interval optimization for multi-SIM mobile devices

A method includes setting, using at least one processor of an electronic device that includes multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) cards, a maximum Network Address Translation (NAT) interval to be a maximum value among NAT keep-alive intervals associated with the multiple SIM cards. The method also includes triggering, using the at least one processor, a partial call setup from a first SIM card of the multiple SIM cards to a second SIM card of the multiple SIM cards. The method further includes determining, using the at least one processor, whether the electronic device receives the partial call setup. In addition, the method includes, in response to determining that the electronic device receives the partial call setup, setting, using the at least one processor, the NAT keep-alive interval for each of the multiple SIM cards to be equal to the maximum NAT interval.

Securely deploying security policy and configuration through network address translation systems

A device may include a communication component that may communicatively couple to a first network. The device may also include a processor that may transmit a first signal via the communication component to a network address translation (NAT) system, the first signal including a first request to discover a server device. The NAT system may communicatively couple to the first network and a second network, such that the first network is inaccessible to the second network. The processor may then receive location data associated with the server device and transmit a second signal addressed to the server device based on the location data. The second signal is transmitted to the NAT system, such that the second signal may include a second request for a security policy from the server device. The processor may then receive the security policy via the NAT system and adjust one or more communication operations based on the security policy.

PREVENTING TRAFFIC OUTAGES DURING ADDRESS RESOLUTION PROTOCOL (ARP) STORMS

A device may determine internet protocol (IP) traffic monitoring criteria and may monitor IP traffic based on the IP traffic monitoring criteria. The device may update, based on monitoring the IP traffic, a table of currently active IP traffic flows and may update, based on the table of currently active IP traffic flows, an address resolution protocol (ARP) packet filter. The device may receive one or more ARP packets from a different device and may determine whether to accept or discard the one or more ARP packets based on the ARP packet filter. The device may update an ARP table based on determining to accept the one or more ARP packets.

Method and apparatus for facilitating accessing home surveillance data by remote devices

Method and apparatus for facilitating accessing home surveillance device data, preferably an IP camera video stream, by a remote user device at the remote user device's instigation, over the Internet through a home router, the facilitating including incorporating a smart gateway in local communication with the home router and in persistent or intermittent communication with a remote Internet server to facilitate communication of data over the Internet at the remote user device's request through direct communication between the remote user device and the smart gateway, the smart gateway in local communication with the home surveillance device such as an IP camera, the direct communication facilitated by a “hole punch” type of technique.
