LOW LATENCY SERVER-SIDE REDIRECTION OF UDP-BASED TRANSPORT PROTOCOLS TRAVERSING A CLIENT-SIDE NAT FIREWALL
Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for low latency server-side redirection of User Datagram Protocol (UDP)-based transport protocols traversing a client-side Network Address Translation (NAT) are provided. A request may be sent from a client for a data resource to a first server. The data resource may be received from a second server that has not been previously connected to the client. Receiving the data resource from the second server may be facilitated by the first server through redirecting the request to the second server and providing for the second server to connect to the client and directly respond to the request. The first server may lack at least one of the requested data resource or resources for providing the requested data resource.
Method and apparatus for providing remote access service
A remote access service is provided by receiving remote access transport agent (RATA) capability information of a home remote access server (RAS) and a remote RAS from the home RAS and the remote RAS, respectively, generating a RATA profile based on the RATA capability information, supported by the home RAS and the remote RAS, and transmitting the generated RATA profile to the home RAS and the remote RAS, respectively.
ITERATIVE NETWORK ADDRESS TRANSLATION IN A DAISY CHAIN NETWORK
A computer-implemented method for operating a data routing platform of a home appliance is provided. The data routing platform may include a plurality of devices communicatively coupled to a master control board. The computer-implemented method may include receiving, at a device of the plurality of devices, a data packet comprising packet address data. The computer-implemented method may further include determining, at the device, whether the packet address data matches device address data of the device. Responsive to determining the packet address data does not match the device address data of the device, the computer-implemented method may include implementing, at the device, an address translation operation to generate updated packet address data.

Maintaining network address translations
This invention provides a method, apparatus, and computer-readable media for providing a configuration that sets up and maintains communication connections through the use of network address translation (NAT). The configuration includes communicating, by a device, packets from and/or to another device, in which the communication involves a network address translation, and maintaining the network address translation by transmitting, by the device, packets using the network address translation frequently enough to prevent any intermediate device from deleting a mapping for the network address translation from a cache of the intermediate device.
