AUTONOMOUS DECENTRALIZED PEER-TO-PEER TELEMETRY

An approach for enabling autonomous decentralized peer-to-peer telemetry (ADEPT). A first ADEPT peer senses ADEPT peers to interconnect where the ADEPT peers are identified as ADEPT light peer, ADEPT standard peer and ADEPT peer exchange based on respectively increasing IoT device capability. The first ADEPT peer sends and receives requests to interconnect to the ADEPT peers based on messaging. The first ADEPT peer transfers files where the files are distributed toward peer-to-peer networks, creating peer consensus and interconnecting the first ADEPT peer to the ADEPT peers based on the peer consensus. ADEPT peers execute transactions and contracts by decentralized peer to peer consensus network and consensus ledger to enable autonomous device coordination.

Network range extender with multi-RF radio support for plurality of network interfaces

A networked system for managing a physical intrusion detection/alarm includes a network of end nodes, e.g., sensor nodes including one or more constrained sensor nodes for sensing physical conditions, and a gateway to provide network connections for the constrained sensor nodes. The system also includes a range extender for connecting the one or more constrained sensor nodes to the gateway, with the range extender including first and second radios and corresponding processors to wirelessly communicate with the gateway and constrained nodes.

Transcoding in security camera applications

The disclosure is related to adaptive transcoding of video streams from a camera. A camera system includes a camera and a base station connected to each other in a first communication network, which can be a wireless network. When a user requests to view a video from the camera, the base station obtains a video stream from the camera, transcodes the video stream, based on one or more input parameters, to generate a transcoded video stream, and transmits the transcoded video stream to a user device. The base station can transcode the video stream locally, e.g., within the base station, or in a cloud network based on transcoding location factors. Further, the camera system can also determine whether to stream the video to the user directly from the base station or from the cloud network based on streaming location factors.

Methods and apparatus for traffic management in peer-to-peer networks

Methods and apparatus relating to routing and caching systems for reducing traffic and the bandwidth used by decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks is described. The peer-to-peer network operates over an underlying network including first and second network portions. The method includes routing a peer-to-peer message in one of said network portions with an intended destination in the other of said network portions to a gateway between peer-to-peer modes residing on said first and second network portions. The method further includes controlling transport of said message at said gateway to limit propagation of said message into said other of said network portions.

NETWORK SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CHECKING PLAUSIBILITY OF VALUE RETURNED BY DEVICE THEREIN

It is provided a method for checking plausibility of a value received from a device. It comprises receiving, by a neighbor of the device at a current time instant, a current output value and a previous output value of the device (S410) and; determining, by the neighbor of the device, that a value evolution between the current output value and the previous output value of the device is implausible according to the value evolution.

Sparse peer with transient participation

An example operation may include one or more of connecting, by a sparse peer, to a blockchain network of a plurality of peers controlled by orderers, configuring the sparse peer to operate with a partial state of a chain to reduce a bootstrap time of the sparse peer, specifying, by the sparse peer, data selection filters based on the partial state of the chain, receiving, by the sparse peer, blocks that match the selection filters from the plurality of the peers via a gossip, storing, by the sparse peer, the blocks in a ledger of the sparse peer, determining, by the sparse peer, if the ledger of the sparse peer is up-to-date based on the partial state of the chain, and in response to the determination that the ledger of the sparse peer is up-to-date, bootstrapping the sparse peer.

Hybrid tag matching

A method for communication includes posting, by a software process, a set of buffers in a memory of a host processor and creating in the memory a list of labels associated respectively with the buffers. The software process pushes a first part of the list to a network interface controller (NIC), while retaining a second part of the list in the memory under control of the software process. Upon receiving a message containing a label, sent over a network, the NIC compares the label to the labels in the first part of the list and, upon finding a match to the label, writes data conveyed by the message to a buffer in the memory. Upon a failure to find the match in the first part of the list, the NIC passes the message from the NIC to the software process for handling using the second part of the list.

Systems and methods for seamless host migration

Systems and methods of the present invention for maintaining network data distribution are provided. Network data may be distributed in such as manner as to allow a network session to weather interrupted communications between host and clients without significant loss of data. Embodiments of the present invention provide for one or more clients to serve as backup host(s) for the network session. When the other clients transmit data to the host, they may also transmit the data to one or more backup hosts if there are any indications of interrupted communication.
