Wearable Personal Wireless Media Station
The disclosure herein provides a wearable personal wireless media station including a wearable base station and a wireless earbud. The wearable personal wireless media station may detect that the wireless earbud is docked to the wearable base station, play audio through a speaker of the wearable base station while the wireless earbud is docked to the wearable base station, detect that the wireless earbud is undocked from the wearable base station, cease to play sound through the speaker of the wearable base station in response to detecting that the wireless earbud is undocked from the wearable base station, and begin playing audio through the wireless earbud while the wireless earbud is undocked from the wearable base station.
Coordinated Notifications
A device may broadcast an indication of an activity level of the device. The device may also receive a notification of an incoming message and receive at least one broadcast from at least one additional device also receiving the notification of the incoming message including an indication of at least one activity level of the at least one additional device. The device may compare its own activity level with the received at least one activity level. In response to determining that the activity level of the device is equal to or greater than a highest received at least one activity level, the device may display the notification of the incoming message.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING CONTENT PLAYING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING THE METHOD
A method of controlling a content playing device and an electronic device performing the method are provided. The method of controlling a content playing device includes playing content on a second electronic device connected to an electronic device, identifying, by the electronic device, a third electronic device and connecting the electronic device to the third electronic device, determining whether a specialized function related to playing the content is present among functions of the second electronic device, and playing the content, played on the second electronic device, on the third electronic device.
Two-way communication system and method of use
The two-way communication system comprises a non-invasive and non-implanted system which allows for clear two-way communications. This system is generally comprised of a mouthpiece component, relay component, infrastructure communication device, an optional earpiece component, and an optional system control which may interface with the relay component.
Tag mounted distributed headset with electronics module
A device has a communication link, a headset, and an electronics module. The headset is connected to the communication link and has a speaker, and a microphone. The electronics module is connected to the communication link and has a housing with an information conveying tag positioned on a surface, a processor communicatively coupled to the headset through the communication link, a battery, and a wireless transceiver communicatively coupled with a remote terminal.
APPARATUS FOR VOICE COMMUNICATION
One example discloses an apparatus for voice communication, including: a first wireless device including a first pressure sensor having a first acoustical profile and configured to capture a first set of acoustic energy within a time window; wherein the first wireless device includes a near-field magnetic induction (NFMI) signal input; wherein the first wireless device includes a processing element configured to: receive, through the NFMI signal input, a second set of acoustic energy captured by a second pressure sensor, having a second acoustical profile, within a second wireless device and within the time window; apply a signal enhancement technique to the first and second sets of acoustic energy based on the first and second acoustical profiles; and output an enhanced voice signal based on applying the signal enhancement.
Wireless headset system with two different radio protocols
A headset system comprising a headset and a base station. Each of said headset and base station comprises a transceiver configured to transmit radio signals between said headset and said base station according to a first wireless communication protocol, and each of said headset and base station further comprises a transceiver configured to transmit radio signals between said headset and said base station according to a second wireless communication protocol. At least one of said headset and said base station further comprises selecting means, such as a protocol selector configured to select one of said first and second wireless communication protocols for transmission of radio signals between said headset and said base station. The protocol selector is adapted to select the first wireless communication protocol for transmission of voice communication and the second wireless communication protocol for transmission of media content.
METHOD FOR ENSURING SYMMETRIC AUDIO QUALITY FOR HANDS-FREE PHONING
A hearing device includes a processor and a wireless transceiver operatively connected with the processor and configured to connect via a wireless link with a remote device and to exchange bi-directional audio packets with the remote device. The processor is configured to monitor an audio link quality, and adapt a transmit power of the hearing device as a function of the audio link quality.
Methods and systems for rendering images using wirelessly received configuration parameters
A mobile device has a display, one or more processors, and first memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors. The mobile device is configured to dock in a headset to form a head-mounted display. A near-field-communication (NFC) channel is established with a tag in the headset, the tag including second memory that stores one or more configuration parameters for the headset. The one or more configuration parameters are received from the tag via the NFC channel. Using the one or more configuration parameters for the headset, the mobile device renders virtual-reality images and displays the rendered virtual-reality images.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPLETING A CALL UTILIZING A HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY AND A COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A user desires to complete a call utilizing a head-mounted display and a communication device. A call-initiating event is detected at the communication device. In response to the call-initiating event, an intended call recipient is identified utilizing the head-mounted display. A call is then initiated with the intended call recipient utilizing the communication device.
