When the passenger is sensed and the call request of the third party is received in a privacy mode, the controller displays the call request reception message and limits displaying of the identification information of the third party and the audio function.
Mobile device docking station
A docking station (10) for an elongate rectangular mobile device. A first adjustable slide clamp member (14) is fitted in aperture (28) and is capable of adjustment in one direction. A second adjustable rotate clamp member (16) has a plug (85) for interconnection with a socket of the mobile device. The slide clamp member (14) has a clamp surface (32) and comprises a ratchet arm (26). The rotate clamp member also has a clamp surface (32c) and is rotatably disposed with respect to the body so that it can rotate between two positions. In a first position the clamp surface is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the slide clamp (14). In a second position it is parallel to that direction. In the second position, it opens a second aperture opposite the rotate clamp member and in which the slide clamp member can be inserted.
RADIO WITH WIRED REMOTE SWITCH FOR SMARTPHONE
A radio includes controls operatively disposed on a face panel. A 3.5 millimeter audio jack is disposed on or through the face panel. The audio jack has four contacts including a microphone contact. A microphone is disposed on or in the face panel to transduce sound received at the face panel. The microphone is electrically connected via a microphone output circuit to the microphone contact. A normally open switch has a switch actuator button disposed on the face panel. The switch is to connect the microphone output circuit to an electrical ground when the switch is closed. The audio jack is to electrically connect the radio to circuits of a smartphone including a smartphone left speaker output circuit, a smartphone right speaker output circuit, a smartphone ground circuit and a smartphone microphone input circuit.
AUDIO DEVICE AND MENU DISPLAY METHOD OF AUDIO DEVICE
There is provided an audio device. A connection detecting unit is configured to detect establishment of a connection for communication with a portable audio device having a display unit capable of displaying choices noted in characters. A character acquiring unit is configured to acquire notation characters of the choices from the portable audio device while the connection detecting unit detects the establishment of the connection for communication. A display unit is configured to display a menu screen including areas for displaying choices. A display control unit is configured to cause the display unit to display the notation characters acquired by the character acquiring unit, in the areas.
Stateful integration of a vehicle information system user interface with mobile device operations
A method, device, and vehicle information system are provided for persisting application context from the vehicle information system to the mobile device. The mobile device provides access to at least one application executing on the mobile device to the vehicle information system. On termination of that access, an operating context is determined for each of the mobile device applications where possible. In some cases, where application context is persisted from one system or device to the other, the current data is presented in accordance with a transport modality associated with the other device or system.
System and method for promoting connectivity between a mobile communication device and a vehicle touch screen
Systems and methods for promoting connectivity between a mobile communication device having a touch screen and a vehicle touch screen installed in a vehicle are disclosed. According to an embodiments, a system may include a controller configured to: connect to the mobile communication device and to the vehicle touch screen. The controller may also be configured to receive video signal of a current screen video image shown on the touch screen of the mobile communication device and transmit the current video image to the vehicle touch screen, causing a corresponding video image of the current screen video image to be displayed on the vehicle touch screen. The controller may further be configured to receive a signal indicative of a touch action that was performed on the vehicle touch screen, and cause the mobile communication device to respond as if a touch action corresponding to the touch action that was performed on the vehicle touch screen was performed on the touch screen of the mobile communication device.
Virtual smart phone
In embodiments of the present invention, a virtual phone is provided which includes a touch screen mounted on an enclosure that includes a processor, memory, wireless communication port, and a power port. The virtual phone further includes a software application executing on the processor to control image display on the touch screen and emulate features of a handheld device presented in the image in response to a user touching a presented feature. The virtual phone further includes a configuration of a user-specific handheld device that is derived from the user-specific handheld device is stored in a memory that is accessible to the processor; wherein the virtual phone presents a visual representation of the user-specific handheld device on the touch screen based on the configuration.
