Method and System for Improving the Location of Fixed Wireless CBSD Nodes
Methods, systems and devices for determining a more precise location of a citizen band service device (CBSD) and providing an enhanced location based service (eLBS). A citizen band service device may be configured to determine its approximate location, form a communication group with a wireless transceiver in proximity to the citizen band service device, send the determined approximate location of the citizen band service device to the wireless transceiver, receive location information from the wireless transceiver, and determine a more precise location of the citizen band service device based on the location information received from the wireless transceiver. The citizen band service device may use the computed location information to provide a location based service and/or send the more precise location to the wireless transceiver or another wireless device for use in providing a location based service.
Method and apparatus for device unlocking
A method is provided including: generating, by a first device, a first signal indicating a first pattern of movement of the first device; receiving, by the first device, a second signal indicating a second pattern of movement of a second device that is paired to the first device in accordance with a wireless communication protocol; comparing the first pattern of movement of the first device to the second pattern of movement of the second device; and unlocking the first device based on the first pattern of movement of the first device matching the second pattern of movement of the second device.
EMERGENCY MODE FOR MOBILE DEVICES
Methods and apparatuses for emergency modes for a mobile device (e.g., a mobile phone) are described. The mobile device may receive sonic signals indicative of a voice of a person uttering words and identify the person as an authorized user. The mobile device may determine that the words correlate with an emergency situation from a set of predefined emergency situations. Further, the mobile device may determine that the emergency situation satisfies a threshold. The mobile device may perform one or more tasks (e.g., making a phone call to an emergency service), after determining that the emergency situation has satisfied the threshold. In some cases, the mobile device may monitor physiological signals of the person and/or collect additional data to increase a confidence level associated with making the determination. In some cases, the mobile device may leverage or include an artificial intelligence algorithm/engine to facilitate managing the emergency modes.
Detecting personal danger using a deep learning system
A mobile electronic device such as a smartphone is used in conjunction with a deep learning system to detect and respond to personal danger. The deep learning system monitors current information (such as location, audio, biometrics, etc.) from the smartphone and generates a risk score by comparing the information to a routine profile for the user. If the risk score exceeds a predetermined threshold, an alert is sent to the smartphone which presents an alert screen to the user. The alert screen allows the user to cancel the alert (and notify the deep learning system) or confirm the alert (and immediately transmit an emergency message). Multiple emergency contacts can be designated, e.g., one for a low-level risk, another for an intermediate-level risk, and another for a high-level risk, and the emergency message can be sent to a selected contact depending upon the severity of the risk score.
Motion actuated AED communicator
A motion sensitive communicator (40) employs an assembly of a wireless phone (41), a motion sensor (44) and a battery (45). In operation, the motion sensor (44) power couples the battery (45) to the wireless phone (41) responsive to a sensing of any movement of a portable defibrillator (20) supporting the communicator (40). A power coupling of the battery (45) to the wireless phone (41) automatically activates the wireless phone (41) to register to a wireless network, and an activation of the wireless phone (41) enables the wireless phone (41) to execute a call to an emergency service center over the wireless network responsive to a manual actuation of the wireless phone (41). The battery (45) is power decoupled from the wireless phone (41) responsive to an absence of a call from the wireless phone (41) to the emergency service center within a time period initiated by a power coupling of the battery (45) to the wireless phone (41).
Programmable Communicator
A technical data monitoring device for use with a wireless data monitoring network includes a wireless communications circuit, and at least one technical device/system. The technical data monitoring device establishes a wireless communication link with a programmable interface of a programmable cellular telephone. The device is also configured to send and/or receive wireless packet switched data transmissions, generate data and send data over the wireless communication link for processing by the programmable cellular telephone, and has an associated status condition. Data from the device is (1) sent to be processed and displayed by the programmable cellular telephone and/or (2) sent to be processed and forwarded by the programmable cellular telephone to an Internet website. The device forms part of the wireless data monitoring network in communication with the programmable cellular telephone. The technical device/system can be one of a number of sensors, devices, or systems.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ACCIDENT NOTIFICATION
This disclosure relates to systems and methods for summoning emergency personnel to assist a user associated with a portable device. A system can include a processor that can access non-transitory memory and execute machine readable instructions stored therein. The machine readable instructions can cause the processor to receive an assistance request generated by the portable device. The request can include location information for the portable device. The machine readable instructions can further cause the processor to transmit an assistance summons request to one or more selected devices that the user is need of assistance, receive a confirmation message generated by at least one of the one or more selected devices confirming that the user associated with the portable device is need of the assistance, and transmit one or more notification messages to summon the emergency personnel for the user.
System and method for monitoring activities through portable devices
A device and system are provided for notifying a user contact of the status of a user of a portable device. The status is determined by the portable device collecting user provided information and device collected information relevant to a user of portable device. The portable device may then transmit the device collected information and the user provided information to a server that in turn performs an analysis on the device collected information and the user provided information to determine whether a triggering event has occurred. If it is determined that a triggering event has occurred, the server will proceed to send a status update regarding the user of the portable device to preset user contacts. The triggering event is determined to have occurred based on preset user conditions and algorithms and artificial intelligence being executed at the server.
A METHOD FOR OPERATING A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method for operating a communication system, comprising the steps: Providing a chip card, in particular a SIM card, in a communication device of a motor vehicle, said chip card including a user identification for dialing into at least one mobile communication network; storing a device identification of a mobile phone in the communication device of the motor vehicle; establishing a mobile communication link between the mobile phone and the communication device of the motor vehicle using the user identification stored on the chip card if a predetermined activation action has been detected on the mobile phone and it has been determined that the device identification of the mobile phone is stored in the communication device of the motor vehicle. The invention furthermore relates to a communication system.
IMPLANTABLE DEVICE FOR LOCATING DRUG USERS
A medical implant including a drug sensor and a global positioning system (GPS) module connected to a wireless network. The GPS module sends a location of the patient and optionally information of when patient uses an illegal drug when the sensor detects the drug within the patient's bloodstream.
