System and Method for a Broadcast Terminal and Networked Devices
There is provided a system including an input device configured to transmit data and a broadcast terminal configured to receive the data from the input device and simultaneously transmit the data over a local network to a plurality of computing devices in connection with the broadcast terminal. The broadcast terminal is further configured to dynamically control the transmission of the data to and the connection to each of the plurality of computing devices. The system further includes at least two computing devices configured to receive the data from the broadcast terminal over the local network and to dynamically manipulate the data to create custom data where the custom data is unique to each of the computing devices.
Managing calls
Different call managing techniques are described for both voice calls and video calls. A call management system detects that a user is on an active call. The call management system detects that the user has continued to speak when the call was disconnected, as by another user terminating the call or poor network conditions. When the call management system detects a disconnected call, it records the spoken speech into a buffer and determines which portion of the user's speech was not processed and communicated to the other user. The user whose call was terminated is provided with an option to provide the un-communicated speech to the other user. Options can include sending a text version of the un-communicated speech to the other user or sending a voice file to the other user.
Methods and systems for managing communications
Methods and systems for call processing are described. A call from a caller intended for a first party is received at a call processing system, which stores call signaling information associated with the call. A greeting is played to the caller, and a voice communication is received and recorded. At least a first portion of the voice communication is transmitted in substantially real time to a terminal associated with the first person. At least a portion of the voice communication is converted to text and the text is stored and transmitted to a terminal associated with the first party. When a search query is received from the first party, the system searches the data store to determine if there is matching call having related matching call information. If there is a matching call, related information may be provided to the first party.
CONFIDENTIALITY-SMART VOICE DELIVERY OF TEXT-BASED INCOMING MESSAGES
Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: a voice delivery application, running on a mobile device of a user, receives a text message from a user; by use of sensor inputs of the mobile device, the mobile device stores data regarding environment of the mobile device including external audio equipment, speed of the user, and bystanders within a hearing range of the environment; various data describing a sender of the text message and the bystanders are analyzed for respective relationships with the user and with each other to determine a confidentiality group dictating whether or not the text message may be heard by the bystander; the text message may be scanned for content screening, then according to configuration of the voice delivery application, the text message is securely delivered to the user by voice.
Method, terminal, server, and system for audio signal transmission
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a real-time voice transmission method and an associated mobile terminal. The method includes: starting collecting voice signal in response to a first user instruction; while collecting the voice signal: encoding and compressing the collected voice signal into voice data; identifying the voice data as a voice data segment and adding a transmission sequence identifier to the voice data segment when the length of voice data reaches a preset data length; generating and displaying a first visual indicator after sending the voice data segment to a voice server; stopping collecting the voice signal in response to a second user instruction; identifying remaining voice data as a last voice data segment and adding a last transmission sequence identifier to the last voice data segment; and generating and displaying a second visual indicator after sending the last voice data segment to the voice server.
Automated generation of recommended response messages
An electronic device providing a message service includes: a communication unit configured to exchange a message with another device; a display configured to display a message received from the another device, a message input by the electronic device, and at least one response message generated by the electronic device, all together on a message service screen of the display; and a processor configured to determine whether the received message includes an inquiry, and provide at least one piece of recommended content based on the inquiry in response to the received message being determined as including the inquiry, and transmit the at least one response message comprising the at least one piece of recommended content to the other device.
METHOD FOR SERVING RADIO COMMUNICATIONS TO USERS THROUGH MOBILE RADIOS
One variation of method includes, at a mobile radio: receiving an audio communication from an originating device over a wireless network at a first time; storing the audio communication in local memory; outputting the audio communication, at approximately the first time, at a first volume level set manually by a user associated with the mobile radio prior to the first time; calculating a confidence score that the audio communication was comprehended by the user based on the first volume setting; accessing a priority of the audio communication defined at the originating device; and, in response to a discrepancy between the confidence score and the priority of the audio communication, replaying the audio communication, from local memory, at a second volume setting greater than the first volume setting.
Emergency personal protection system integrated with mobile devices
A mobile device includes a camera unit, a location unit, a transmitting unit, a self-defense mechanism, and a panic button. The camera unit location unit obtains at least one of image data and audio data, and the location unit obtains location data. The transmitting unit transmits at least one of the image data, the audio data, the location data, and specific information including owner identification information. The panic button is adapted to activate the camera, the location unit, the transmitting unit, and the self-defense mechanism.
DISTRIBUTED COMPUTATIONAL WEARABLE BUTTON SCREENLESS OPERATING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An operating system for wearable buttons comprises a master button that comprises an air interface for receiving executable instructions according to a user changeable dashboard. One or more slave buttons are configured to communicate with the master button, wherein the one or more executable instructions are configured to execute on a processor of the master button according to a user's actuation of the master button or the slave button according to the changeable dashboard.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING VOICE AND VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS USING A MESSAGING APPLICATION
Example methods and apparatus for enabling voice communications via a messaging application are described. One example method includes providing a conversation user interface in the messaging application, where the conversation user interface includes communication records between a contact and a user. Voice information of the user is received after the user triggers a record button, where the record button appears in the conversation user interface. A voice note related to the voice information is presented in the form of the communication records on the conversation user interface. The voice note is played in response to selecting the voice note by the user. The voice note is paused from playing in response to a first instruction from the user to pause playing the voice note, and is resumed playing in response to a second instruction from the user to resume playing the voice note.
