Interface data display optimization during device operation
There is provided systems and methods for interface data display optimization during critical device operations. A user may utilize a device to perform various device or application functionalities, which may include critical computing tasks at times. These critical processes may include certain GUI data display that the user and/or device requires to be displayed during the critical processes. To prevent the GUI data display from being obscured by other banners, pop-up notifications, or other interface data displays, the device may determine whether the current displayed interface data on the GUI is critical or has a higher priority for display than a new request for data display. This may be based on preferences within the application, where the requested data display may occur on the GUI, current device or application data, and/or information for the requested data display. The device may then block the data display.
Interaction with mobile application-based item lists via lock screen notifications
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for interacting with item lists via lock screen notifications. In at least one embodiment, a user performs a computer-based action on a notification that is accessible to a user while a device is in a locked state and the computer-based action is used to perform an operation supported by an item list, without requiring the user to perform an authentication and/or authorization to unlock the device.
PRIVACY PROTECTION METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A privacy protection method for the electronic device includes: starting face change detection, where the face change detection is continuously detecting, in a current unlocking period, whether a face in front of a display of the electronic device changes; after starting the face change detection, detecting an operation of starting a first private application; and in response to the operation and determining that a result of the face change detection is that the current face does not change, displaying first private content corresponding to the first private application; or in response to the operation and determining that a result of the face change detection is that the current face changes, displaying first non-private content, where the first non-private content does not include first private content.
Displaying Virtual Target Window on Mobile Device Based on User Intent
An approach is provided that executes on a mobile device with a touch-enabled display screen. The approach receives, from a user of the mobile device, a gesture entered on the touch-enabled display screen with the gesture being entered using an input instrument, such as a finger or thumb, operated by the user. In response to receiving the gesture, the approach identifies the application that is currently being displayed, predicts an intent of the user based on past user actions received during previous executions of the application. The predicted intent predicts the element displayed on the screen that is desired by the user. The approach also creates a cloned copy of the current application display and provides a virtual target window by displaying the cloned copy on the touch-enabled display screen in a position that makes the predicted element accessible to the input instrument operated by the user.
TRANSPORTATION-RELATED MOBILE DEVICE CONTEXT INFERENCES
Systems and methods are provided for transportation-related mobile device context inferences. In one implementation a first visual capture can be received from a first visual capture component of a device; a second visual capture can be received from a second visual capture component of the device; and the first visual capture and the second visual capture can be processed by a processing device to determine an in-vehicle role of a user of the device. Various other technologies are also disclosed.
Systems and methods for vehicle policy enforcement
This disclosure relates to systems and methods for vehicle policy management and enforcement. In certain embodiments, a method for enforcing a policy may include receiving policy information at a device including one or more conditions relating to a policy-managed location in a vehicle. A determination may be made whether the device is within the policy-managed location based on signals received by a short-range communication system included in the device and/or the vehicle. The received policy information may be evaluated to determine and implement one or more device actions associated with the one or more conditions.
Mobile device to provide enhanced security based upon contextual sensor inputs
Disclosed is a mobile device to provide enhanced security based upon contextual sensor inputs. The mobile device may include: a biometric sensor; a contextual sensor; and a processor. The processor may be configured to: determine an authentication score based upon a biometric input received from the biometric sensor; modulate the authentication score based upon a contextual sensor input from the contextual sensor related to an event; and determine if the modulated authentication score falls below a predetermined threshold. If the authentication score falls below the predetermined threshold, the processor may command that a secondary authentication be performed or the destruction of a biometric template.
Location-based and time-based mobile device security
Approaches are provided for preventing unauthorized access to mobile devices. An approach includes determining at least one of connectivity and a geolocation of a mobile device. The approach further includes analyzing the at least one of the connectivity and the geolocation of the mobile device with respect to one or more safe zones that are enabled on the mobile device. The approach further includes enabling or disabling the one or more security systems for the mobile device based on one or more security profiles associated with the one or more safe zones and the analysis of the at least one of the connectivity and the geolocation of the mobile device with respect to the one or more safe zones.
CELLULAR PHONE WITH KEYSTROKE ENTRY NULLIFICATION CONCURRENT WITH VEHICULAR MOTION
A wireless communication device such as a cell phone with a screen with a portrait mode and a landscape mode and a motion sensor to disable the portrait mode while in a vehicle in motion to prevent texting and vehicle operation at the same time. The novel wireless communication device includes a continuous grasp and retention device along with an active control device and a passive control device to distinguish between a driver and passenger and prevent vehicle operator texting while allowing passenger texting while the vehicle is in motion.
Display Method Based on User Identity Recognition and Electronic Device
An electronic device displays a first interface, and receives a first touch operation from a first user on the first interface, where the first touch operation triggers the electronic device to display a second interface; in response to the first touch operation, the electronic device determines whether behavior characteristic information of M touch operations matches behavior characteristic information of an authorized user in the electronic device; and the electronic device displays the second interface when the behavior characteristic information of the M touch operations matches the behavior characteristic information of the authorized user, where the M touch operations include the first touch operation, and M is a positive integer.
