ANCHORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods to compress or anchor soft tissue are disclosed using one or more anchoring assemblies.
Syndesmosis construct
A knotless button includes a body defining a proximal portion and a distal portion. The body further defines an internal cavity and a first loop opening extending from the internal cavity to an outer surface of the body. A locking insert is slideably positioned within the internal cavity. The locking insert defines a second loop opening extending from a first side of the locking insert to a second side of the locking insert. The locking insert is slideably moveable from a first position to a second position within the internal cavity. A flexible strand defines a first adjustable loop extending through the first loop opening and the second loop opening. The locking insert is slideably moveable from a first position configured to allow adjustment of the first adjustable loop to a second position configured to lock the first adjustable loop.
SURGICAL FIXATION SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODSI
This disclosure relates to surgical fixation systems and methods. The surgical fixation systems of this disclosure may include various combinations of fixation devices, soft suture constructs, and/or adjustable loops and are configured for use in various knotless surgical methods, including but not limited to, syndesmosis, AC joint, UCL, bunion, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) surgical methods.
LOOP AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE LOOP
Provided by the present invention is a loop, comprising a fixing plate and a suture, wherein the fixing plate is provided with at least two threading holes, the suture is wound to form a first coil and a second coil, the first coil and the second coil are arranged on a same side of the fixing plate, and two ends of each of the first coil and the second coil are configured to pass through the threading holes; the two ends of the first coil are movably connected to form a first adjustable portion, a third end of the second coil is continuously connected to a first end of the first coil to form a fixing portion, the fixing portion is configured to compress a fourth end of the second coil to form a second adjustable portion. By providing the first adjustable portion and the elastic portion, not only the purpose of automatically adjusting the length of the coil in the loop is achieved, but also the coil in the loop cannot be enlarged and retreated due to the pulling force of a graft when no artificial external force exists, the operation time is shortened, and the operation risk is reduced. A manufacturing method of the loop is further provided by the present invention.
IMPLANT AND SUTURE ORGANIZATION DEVICE
An organization device for maintaining a suspensory graft fixation device (i.e., an implant and suture) in a desired position. The device includes a substrate having top and bottom edges with first and second panels extending therebetween. The device also includes a first central longitudinal axis extending in a direction from the top edge to the bottom edge between the first and second panels. The first and second panels are foldable about the axis between open and closed positions. The device also includes an opening extending through the bottom edge and into the first panel, and a plurality of top slits and bottom slits. The plurality of top slits includes at least one top slit which is aligned with the first opening. The device additionally includes a tabs adjacent the opening. The slits and tabs are configured to maintain suture of a suspensory graft fixation device in an organized manner.
LOOP AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Provided by the present invention is a loop, comprising a fixing plate and at least one suture, wherein the suture is wound to form a first coil and a second coil and is provided on a first side of the fixing plate, a first end of the first coil and a third end of the second coil pass through different threading holes and are connected on a second side of the fixing plate to form a first fixing portion, so that the length of the first coil and the length of the second coil can be adjusted through the first fixing portion under the action of a graft. A second end of the first coil forms at least one second fixing portion on the second side of the fixing plate by passing through the plurality of threading holes, and then is wound around part of the first coil and part of the second coil at the first side of the fixing plate to form an adjusting portion, so that the length of each of the first coil and the second coil can be adjusted under the action of artificial external force, and the first coil and the second coil can be effectively prevented from retreating under the pulling force of the graft. A manufacturing method of the loop is further provided by the present invention.
Device for Heart Repair
A catheter device is described. The device is for implanting a leaflet anchor (10) into the heart as part of a procedure for implanting an artificial chordae line (14). The catheter device comprises: a leaflet anchor (10) for attachment to the leaflet (12) of the heart; and a leaflet anchor deployment mechanism (6), (30), (38) for deploying the leaflet anchor (10). The leaflet anchor deployment mechanism (6), (30), (38) allows for retraction and repositioning of the leaflet anchor (10) after deployment of the anchor (10) into the leaflet (12) via an ejector unit (36) having a grasping device (50) with a first configuration arranged to permit deployment of the leaflet anchor (10) into the leaflet (12) without disengagement of the leaflet anchor (10) from the ejector unit (34), and a second configuration in which the leaflet anchor (10) is reversibly released from the ejector unit (36). In the first configuration the grasping device (50) of the ejector unit (36) grasps a proximal end of the leaflet anchor (10), whilst a distal end of the leaflet anchor (10) is unimpeded by the grasping device (50) to enable it to be implanted in the leaflet (12). In the second configuration the grasping device (50) is disengaged from the leaflet anchor (10).
Suture anchor comprising suture filament and suture tape
A suture anchor that is configured to pull repair sutures into a pre-formed hole in bone or boney tissue, having a fibrous construct having a first side and a second side; and a first filament body passing through the fibrous construct, the first filament body forming a first pair of loops that interleave with one another on one of the first side or the second side of the fibrous construct.
SUTURE ANCHOR
Provided is a suture anchor 10 for securing soft tissue 12 to bone 6. The suture anchor 10 comprises a strip 14 having first and second end portions 16 and 18 and a central portion 20 therebetween. Each end portion 16 and 18 defines an inner and an outer aperture 22 and 24, said central portion 20 defining a central aperture 21 and transverse lines of weakness 26 longitudinally on either side of said central aperture 21. A suture 28 is operatively threadable through the strip 14 such that the end portions 16 and 18 fold onto each other via the lines of weakness 26 to complementarily define a clasp portion 30 with the central portion 20 defining an expansion portion 32. In use, tensioning of the suture 28 urges the expansion portion 32 into an expanded position and clasps said suture 28 to the clasp portion 30.
