A system for automated adaptation and improvement of speaker authentication in a voice biometric system environment, comprising a speech sample collector, a target selector, a voice analyzer, a voice data modifier, and a call flow creator. The speech sample collector retrieves speech samples from a database of enrolled participants in a speaker authentication system. The target selector selects target users that will be used to test the speaker authentication system. The voice analyzer extracts a speech component data set from each of the speech samples. The call flow creator creates a plurality of call flows for testing the speaker authentication system, each call flow being either an impostor call flow or a legitimate call flow. The call flows created by the call flow creator are used to test the speaker authentication system.

A system for optimizing the transmission of power through multiple conductors from a remote power source to a local communications device including: (a) a controller for the power source and for incrementally increasing the output voltage during a transmission resistance detection protocol; (b) a first voltage detection circuit for detecting a predetermined minimum voltage received by the detection circuit and for placing a load across the conductors when that minimum voltage is received; (c) a second voltage detection circuit for detecting a predetermined maximum voltage received by that detection circuit and for removing the load from across the conductors at that time; (d) voltage and current measuring devices to measure the transmission current and the output voltage of the power source when the predetermined maximum voltage is received; and (e) memory for storing the measured voltage, measured current and the predetermined maximum voltage for use by the controller.

A system for monitoring phone numbers includes a computing device having at least one processor and memory associated with the processor. A telephone network supports a plurality of telephone numbers. The computing device is configured to obtain data directly from the telephone network. The data indicates call activity involving the phone numbers, respectively, during a time period having a preselected duration. The computing device determines, for each of the phone numbers, whether the data indicates that there were no successfully answered calls placed to the phone number during the time period. For any such phone number, the computing device places a test call to the phone number. In the event that the test call is not successful, the computing device provides an indication of a problem with the phone number.

Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing emergency call record and address validation. In various embodiments, a computing system may simultaneously initiate two or more test calls among a plurality of test calls to an emergency service provider system. Each test call may simulate an emergency services validation call initiated from a telephone number among a plurality of telephone numbers associated with a corresponding plurality of users to request a determination as to whether a 911 or enhanced 911 (E911) address associated with the telephone number is an accurate 911 or E911 address. In response to receiving a corresponding plurality of call responses from the emergency service provider system, the computing system may analyze each call response to determine a result of each corresponding simulated emergency services validation call; and may send each determined result to a corresponding requesting party.

The bit value string is then analyzed to determine whether it includes a bit pattern indicative of an impairment of the local loop. Further approaches for automatically testing local loops of telecommunications networks include obtaining attenuation data for multiple tones carried by the local loop and determining whether the attenuation data falls below thresholds for providing a service using the local loop.
