Methods and apparatuses to track information using call signaling messages

Methods and systems to facilitate real time communications via a telephonic apparatuses that support data communications. In one embodiment, a telephonic apparatus includes: a network interface to submit a query over a data communication network and to receive a listing with embedded information about the query; and a call module coupled to the network interface, the call module to embed the information about the query in a call signaling message for a telephonic connection according to the listing.

The present invention includes systems, methods, circuits and associated software for managing communications from a mobile device to other parties and retrieving and managing data stored on the mobile device and associated with the communications to other parties. The systems and methods of the present invention may further allow a calling party to make a called party to be aware of its intention to establish a call/communication session with it in one or more ways. According to the present invention a calling party may be automatically or manually offered alternatives to voice or other communication session. Further, many communication alternatives and other data for a party may be stored and organized in a local memory of a device and may be updated based on data retrieved from exterior sources, possibly from third party data storages accessed over a distributed data network, such as the internet.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERSONALIZED CALL MANAGEMENT AND TALK AUTOMATION

A computerized system is configured to automatically manage an incoming phone call from a caller to a cellular phone or an internet phone. The computerized system includes a first user device (e.g., a cell phone, internet phone, etc.) assigned to a first user. The system further includes an automated assistant module in communication with the first user device, a synthesized speech generator in communication with the automated assistant module, and a phone number directory in communication with the automated assistant module. The automated assistant module is configured to, when the incoming call is received by the first user device, determine (a) an importance of the incoming call based on (i) a location or number from which the incoming call originated, (ii) words used by the caller, (iii) a schedule of the first user, and (b) based on the importance of the incoming call, an appropriate response.

Systems and Methods for Automated Call Acceptance of Facility-Originated Telephone Calls with Prerecorded Preambles

A system and method are disclosed for automatically connecting outbound facility-originated telephone calls, such as calls placed by detainees from correctional, detention, or other secured facilities. The system includes a receiving interactive voice response (IVR) server configured to accept incoming calls and a controller configured to process preamble audio associated with the calls. The controller streams the audio to a speech recognition service, obtains a transcription, and transmits the transcription to an artificial intelligence module that determines a dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tone required to accept the call. The controller instructs the receiving IVR server to issue the identified DTMF tone, thereby completing the call connection without human intervention or reliance on preconfigured facility information. The system may communicate with external services using application programming interfaces, structured data formats such as JSON or XML, and telecommunication protocols such as direct inward dialing, public switched telephone network, or equivalent mechanisms.
