Message management and notification system

Systems and methods provide a resident of a controlled-environment facility with voice messaging. The facility provides the resident with voice communication services. In response to a request by a resident for a voice communication with a non-resident, a call request to the non-resident may be initiated. In certain scenarios, the non-resident is unable to accept the call request. If a voice message is authorized, the resident is allowed to record a voice message for the non-resident. Certain restrictions may limit the resident to selecting from automated voice messages. A notification of the recorded voice message is dispatched to the non-resident. The notification identifies a unique link that directs the non-resident to a voice message retrieval system that allows the resident to retrieve and listen to the voice message recorded by the resident. The voice message recording remains under the control of the controlled-environment facility based on applicable security policies and procedures.

Enhancements of and to cell phone operations are based in whole or in part on determining the location of the cell phone. Systems and methods select and determine locations or areas of importance or relevance, and based on that information and other programmed factors affect or alter the operations of the cell phone. While the systems and methods are illustrated by use of cell phone embodiments and applications, they are equally applicable to virtually any portable or mobile communication device, including for example, wireless laptop computers and PDAs.

A system and method for omnichannel text-based routing, transfer, and customer-to-enterprise communications. The system is a cloud-based network containing an interaction control server, a routing engine, an optimization engine, a media translation server, a mobile application, a business entity portal, mobile and compute devices for business enterprise and customer, and an enterprise database. Taken together or in part, said system optimizes customer interactions by delivering context aware text message, chat or email to customers; and when requested by customer, optimally routes with context, based upon a multitude of variables, to best available resource to handle the customer interaction. The system may be accessed through web browsers or purpose-built computer and mobile phone applications.

Dynamic voicemail receptionist system

A voicemail receptionist system includes a memory and a processor. The memory can store data relating to one or more users. An incoming communication can be handled by the voicemail receptionist system and provided with functionality based upon a user's preferences, for example. The data stored by the voicemail receptionist system can be updated at any time, or automatically updated upon updating of the data, or upon occurrence of a trigger event. Voicemail receptionist functionality can include standard voicemail system functionality as well as functionality relating to email, text messaging, MMS messaging, calendar features, schedule announcements, location data, as well as other features.

Methods and apparatus to audibly provide messages in a mobile device

Methods and apparatus to audibly provide messages an electronic device are described. A method for informing a telecommunications subscriber in a foreign country of at least one item of information. The telecommunications subscriber is assigned to a telecommunications provider in a home country via a customer relationship. The home country has a first time zone. The foreign country has a second time zone. The at least one item of information comprises the first time zone and the second time zone and is transmitted to the telecommunications subscriber when a mailbox provided by the telecommunications provider is used. The method includes transmitting the at least one item of information to the telecommunications subscriber via a voice message, announcing the voice message via an automatic voice message, and then playing back a call stored in the mailbox.

Realtime, Interactive and Geographically Defined Computerized Personal Identification and Matching Methods

In general, the invention relates to a method of interactive and live computerized matching in which a first user has a personal data device including a wireless communication system. A network is configured to include a server programmed with a personal characteristic database and a database searching algorithm, and a wireless communication system that is capable of communicating with the user's personal data device. The first user is allowed to log on through the wireless communication system to the network using his or her personal data device, and communicates to and stores in the database personal data defining his or her characteristics and those for his or her ideal match. Either the secure network automatically identifies the first users precise geographic location, or the user himself otherwise indicates and stores in the database of the network an identifying address that indicates his current specific geographic location. The user then instructs the database searching algorithm to search for and identify other users on to the network near the same geographic location to facilitate a match.

The present invention concerns a method, implemented by a telephone terminal in order to trigger an interactive application on recognition of the call number, the method comprising the following steps: the telephone number of a call made to a called number or of a call received from a calling number is compared to a list of predefined numbers; if said current number is present in said list of predefined numbers (110), an interactive application is activated and presented to the user (160), and if, furthermore, the call is an outgoing call (170), the telephone communication corresponding to said outgoing call is inhibited (180).

Automatic message management utilizing speech analytics

Embodiments are provided for utilizing speech analytics for automatically managing messages in a communications network. A message from a calling party to an unavailable called party is recorded in a messaging management module. The messaging management module automatically identifies a category for assigning to the content of the message based on information associated with the unavailable called party or a calling party and associates a language model with the message content based on the category. An analysis module utilizes the language model to identify grammar making up the message content. The messaging management module automatically performs a messaging management function on the message content based on a set of rules. The messaging management function may include automatically determining a priority for the message (enabling the message to be retrieved out of order) or automatically triggering an action in response to the message which is directed to the unavailable called party.
