Systems and methods for generating and communicating enhanced portable document format files
A method for converting a facsimile includes receiving the facsimile via the public-switched telephone network, generating an enhanced portable document format (EPDF) file that includes information in addition to image information and communicating the EPDF file to an e-mail server. The EPDF file can then be communicated as an attachment to an e-mail message addressed to the intended recipient of the facsimile. A facsimile processing system includes a public-switched telephone network interface, a packet-switched network interface, a mail transfer protocol server, an input agent, a job processor and a translator. The input agent identifies and forwards the incoming facsimile to the job processor. The job processor determines when an EPDF file is desired and communicates appropriate instructions to the translator. The translator generates the EPDF file in response to the instructions and the image information from the facsimile. The translator integrates signatures and repositionable notes in outbound facsimiles.
NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM SET READABLE BY COMPUTER OF INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR OBTAINING READ RESULT, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A non-transitory storage medium stores a program set readable by a computer of a first information processing apparatus. The program set including a first program and a second program. The first program causes the first information processing apparatus to start the second program, and register the started second program, as a virtual scanner, in an operating system of the first information processing apparatus. The second program causes the first information processing apparatus to transmit a scan command of the first protocol to the external scanner, and receive a read result from the external scanner by the first protocol through the communication interface. The external scanner reads a document in response to receipt of the scan command transmitted from the information processing apparatus.
System and method for sending, delivery and receiving of faxes using a remotely deployed fax service or system
Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at a user's site, and a faxing system that may be deployed remotely from the user's site. The fax connector can be accessed at the user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at the user's site communicates with the remotely deployed faxing system to send, receive, obtain status on, or perform other functions associated with, faxing.
System and method for remote fax interconnect
Systems and methods for the virtualization, aggregation, enhancement, and distributed processing of facsimile communications. The Remote FAX Interconnect known as etherFAX® is a system and method that allows for the reception and delivery of information to or from one or more facsimile systems using Internet/web based communication protocols such as HTTP(S) as the transport between a cooperating facsimile capable application or hardware and the remotely accessible etherFAX® services.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for communicating data using a first network interface and a second network interface
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to, in a case where data is stored into a first storage area set in advance to store data and associated with a first network interface and a condition specified in advance is satisfied, copy the data from the first storage area into a second storage area set in advance to store data and associated with a second network interface, and output the data in a predetermined transmission mode.
On net bus for distributing fax transmissions
Method and system are described for fax transmission distribution by an online fax service provider. In one embodiment, an electronic document is received, over a computer network, to be routed to a fax telephone number. A request is transmitted to an online database to determine whether the fax telephone number is registered to not receive incoming fax transmissions over a circuit-switched network. In response to determining that the fax telephone number is registered, the electronic document is transmitted to a destination address. In response to determining that the fax telephone number is not registered, an outgoing call is placed to the fax telephone number and the electronic document is transmitted in a fax format over the outgoing call.
System and method to deliver messages and documents using a global registry
A method performed by at least one computer processor of a message delivery system includes generating a mapping among registry identifiers, destination identifiers, and preferred transmission methods of a plurality of users. Each user's destination identifier is associated with at least one delivery address for receipt of electronic package transmissions by the respective user. An outbound delivery request is received and includes a specified destination identifier for delivery of an electronic package. If the specified destination identifier is included in the mapping table, the mapping table is used to identify, based on the specified destination identifier, a preferred transmission method for transmitting the electronic package. The electronic package is transmitted using the preferred transmission method.
