An information terminal transmits information relating to user authentication to an image processing apparatus via short-range wireless communication. The image processing apparatus performs processing for the user authentication using the received information, and transitions to a status where a function of the image processing apparatus is used via an operation unit upon condition that the user authentication has succeeded. A method, a system, and a non-transitory computer readable medium are disclosed containing a computer program having computer readable code embodied to carry out a method of providing Uniform Resource Identifiers for Push Scan jobs pursuant to an Internet Printing Protocol (IPP), which includes hosting a database of IPP clients and destination Uniform Resource Identifiers (destination-uris) for each of the IPP clients, the database of destination-uris defining each of the destination-uris in which each of the IPP clients are authorized to send Push Scan jobs; receiving a request from an IPP client for at least one Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for a Push Scan job; checking the database to determine if the IPP client is authorized to send the Push Scan job to the at least one URI; and sending the destination-uris to the IPP client upon determination that the IPP client is authorized to send the Push Scan job.

An information processing apparatus that changes a state of a monitoring process that waits for image data from an image processing apparatus between a working state and a non-working state as necessary. The information processing apparatus includes a first transmission unit that transmits identification information about the information processing apparatus to the image processing apparatus, a reception unit that receives image data that is generated by scanning a document by the image processing apparatus and is transmitted from the image processing apparatus using the identification information, a second transmission unit that transmits the received image data to a predetermined application in the information processing apparatus, and a setting unit that sets as to whether the second transmission unit transmits the received image data to the predetermined application. The setting unit sets so as to transmit the received image data to the predetermined application based on transmission of the identification information.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program including computer-readable instructions for a terminal device. The terminal includes a communication interface and a user interface. The computer-readable instructions, when executed by a controller of the terminal device, cause the terminal device to: acquire scan data generated by a push scan process of a scanner from a server via the communication interface, the push scan process being a process of causing the scanner to generate the scan data and uploading the generated scan data to the server; acquire, via the communication interface, job information in the push scan process, an address corresponding to the terminal device being specified as a destination of the scan data; and display an execution state of the push scan process on the user interface based on the job information.

A document processing device, a document processing system, and a data processing method for the same are introduced. The document processing device utilizes an exclusive user identification information and an exclusive phone number information. After obtaining a document image, all the document image, the exclusive user identification information and the exclusive phone number information are used to generate document image file information. An image reading apparatus receives, from an information processing apparatus, a scanning request for push scanning for a designated destination, scans an original document and generates image data in response to the scanning request, and transmits, to the destination, a request including authentication information for accessing the destination and the image data, and if a response indicating that an error has occurred in authentication using the authentication information is received, the image reading apparatus saves image data for transmission based on reauthentication and provides a notification of the error to the information processing apparatus. A scanner redirection method for a remote desktop system that includes a client computing device and a host server, includes the steps of: acquiring properties of a physical scanner from a data source; generating a user interface (UI) for the acquired properties of the physical scanner; in response to a first user selection made on the UI, transmitting a request to the physical scanner to update a scanner property that is one of the acquired properties of the physical scanner; and in response to a second user selection made on the UI, receiving from an application running on the host server, a request for a scanned image, transmitting to the data source a request to acquire the scanned image from the physical scanner, and upon receiving the scanned image from the data source, transmitting the scanned image to the application.

A scanner redirection method for a remote desktop system that includes a client computing device and a host server includes the steps of: receiving a name of a physical scanner from a scanner core; transmitting the received name of the physical scanner to the host server; and in response to a first user selection to acquire a scanned image and a second user selection of the name of the physical scanner, the first and second user selections being made on a user interface of the host server, receiving from an application running on the host server a request for the scanned image, transmitting to the scanner core a request to acquire the scanned image from the physical scanner, and upon receiving the scanned image from the scanner core, transmitting the scanned image to the application.
