An image forming apparatus includes: a communication interface to communicate with a plurality of control terminals operated by different users; and circuitry to: authenticate the plurality of control terminals in an order that an authentication request is received from the control terminal; send an operational screen to each one of the plurality of control terminals that have been successfully authenticated for display at each control terminal, the operational screen to accept a process request for requesting the image forming apparatus to execute an image forming process; receive a plurality of process requests from the plurality of control terminals that have been authenticated in an order that the process request is accepted at the control terminal; and control an image forming device to execute a plurality of image forming processes according to the plurality of process requests in the order that the process request is accepted at the control terminal.

There is provided a communication apparatus. A communication control controls a communication unit so as to connect to one of a plurality of external apparatuses. A transfer unit transfers a data item to an external apparatus to which the communication unit has connected. In a case that a transfer of the data item is failed, a storage control unit stores transfer failure information in which the data item is associated with a transfer-destination external apparatus. In a case that the communication unit has connected to a first external apparatus, a transfer control unit controls a transfer of a data item. If a data item included in the transfer failure information is associated with the first external apparatus, the transfer control unit performs control so as to automatically transfer the data item to the first external apparatus.

An information terminal transmits information relating to user authentication to an image processing apparatus via short-range wireless communication. The image processing apparatus performs processing for the user authentication using the received information, and transitions to a status where a function of the image processing apparatus is used via an operation unit upon condition that the user authentication has succeeded. The information terminal transmits data to be used in any one of individual functions included in the image processing apparatus to the image processing apparatus based on receipt of information indicating successful user authentication from the image processing apparatus. After receiving the data from the information terminal, the image processing apparatus uses the received data as a setting of the function of the image processing apparatus that corresponds to the data.

An information processing apparatus includes: a display; an operation interface; a controller, which performs: acquiring image data, through the communication interface, image data, designation information, and specific information; displaying, a notification, a notification including the specific information, the notification indicating that the image data, the designation information and the specific information are acquired; and displaying, a result obtained by performing a processing of the image data designated by the designation information, in response to receiving an operation, displaying, a second notification together with a first notification, in a case where second image data, second designation information, and second specific information are acquired during displaying of the first notification indicating that a first image data, a first designation information and a first specific information are acquired, the second notification indicating that the second image data, the second designation information and the second specific information are acquired.

An information processing system includes a device having one or more functions and a service providing system configured to execute an application in which an execution order of programs is defined to execute a process flow using at least one of the one or more functions. The service providing system includes circuitry configured to: acquire device information regarding the device from the device based on setting information input by a user via an operation device provided with the device; and execute the process flow for processing the acquired device information.

A shared terminal includes circuitry. The circuitry controls a display to display an image to a plurality of users, and obtains, from a first terminal of a first user, first terminal identification information. The circuitry transmits the first terminal identification information and an authentication request, to a terminal management server, and receives a first user name of the first user from the terminal management server. The circuitry controls the display to display a print configuration screen, and receives setting of print parameters for an image being displayed on the display via the print configuration screen, and receives other user name of the plurality of users other than the first user. The circuitry transmits data generated based on the image displayed on the display, the first user name, the other user name, and the print parameters that are set on the print configuration screen, to a print server.

An image processing apparatus comprises a memory and processing circuitry. The memory is configured to store first instructions for performing a first processing, the first instructions being associated with a first processing request. The processing circuitry is configured to receive a second processing request from another device, the second processing request being associated with second instructions, and a part of the second processing request being incompatible with the first processing request; generate a resolution request for resolving an incompatibility between the part of the second processing request and the first processing request; generate an adjusted second processing request by changing information included in the second processing request, according to the resolution request, so that the adjusted second processing request is compatible with the first processing request; and perform the first processing by executing the first instructions according to the adjusted second processing request.

Disclosed are a scanning apparatus, a mobile apparatus, and a scan job performing method thereof. The scan job performing method includes discovering at least one mobile apparatus supporting the scan-to-mobile function by using multicasting by the scanning apparatus, receiving information on at least one discovered mobile apparatus, setting a connection between the scanning apparatus and the mobile apparatus by using the received information of the mobile apparatus, and transmitting a scan image generated by the scanning apparatus to the mobile apparatus. With this configuration, authentication and connection between the scanning apparatus and the mobile apparatus are set by multicasting to thereby improve user's convenience.

An information processing apparatus that communicates with an image processing apparatus and provides a chat service includes a communication unit that receives image data generated by the image processing apparatus reading an image on a document, an acquisition unit that acquires information for identifying a storage location where the received image data is to be stored, a storage unit that stores the received image data in the storage location based on the acquired information, and a control unit that controls the acquired information to be displayed in a talk room of the chat service.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium for an information processing device provided with a user interface and a controller, the recording medium storing instructions which cause, when executed by the controller, the information processing device to obtain spreadsheet data and template data, receive an operation to designate one of a plurality of elements included in the spreadsheet data and an operation of designating one of areas in an image indicated by the templated data, generate arranged image data representing an image in which an object image associated with a designated element is arranged in the designated area. When the designated element includes instruction information instructing an obtaining method of object image data, the controller obtains the object image data in accordance with the instruction information, and generates image data representing an arranged image in which the object image is arranged in the designated area in the templated image.
