A printer for use in an image forming system including a local area network (LAN) interface for communicating with a server, a printer engine, and an operation unit includes a control unit including a central processing unit (CPU) and a memory such as a random access memory (RAM), and the control unit is capable of performing processing to store a server printing setting flag and notification processing to perform notification to prompt a user to give a setting instruction if an internal time is detected to be initialized and the server printing setting flag is stored.

A server may receive a first e-mail including a first image file from a first external device and send a first print request to a first printer. After the first e-mail has been received from the first external device, the server may receive a second e-mail including a second image file from a second external device. The server may, in a case where the second e-mail is received from the second external device, determine whether the second e-mail was generated by using the first e-mail. The server may, in a case where it is determined that the second e-mail was not generated by using the first e-mail, send a second print request to the first printer. In a case where it is determined that the second e-mail was generated by using the first e-mail, the second print request may not be sent to the first printer.

The electronic system is configured to apply the user action upon the digital item by means of an activation of a user operable element displayable on the user interface touch screen. The method includes displaying the digital object on the user interface touch screen, selecting the digital object, displaying a user operable element on the user interface touch screen, receiving an activation of the user operable element, executing the user action upon the digital item, showing an animation of a gesture to the digital object simultaneously with the execution of the user action upon the digital item, which gesture leads, when applied to the digital object, to execution of the user action upon the digital item.

A server device that includes a receiving unit, a browse page creation unit, a mail creation unit, and a mail transmission unit. The receiving unit receives an image transmitted from an electronic camera via a wireless network. The browse page creation unit creates a browse page for browsing the transmitted image from the electronic camera, the image having been received by the receiving unit. The mail creation unit creates a notification mail for introducing the browse page that has been created by the browse page creation unit to a person other than a user of the electronic camera. Methods and apparatuses for capturing images used for generating three-dimensional (3D) models of rooms are described herein. User location indicators and image location indicators are displayed on a display of a mobile computing device, such as, but not limited to, a smartphone, a tablet computing device, or a laptop computer. Images and corresponding orientation information are obtained for each of a plurality of walls of each of a plurality of rooms using a camera and at least one sensor of the mobile computing device. The obtained images and corresponding orientation information are transferred from the mobile computing device to a remote system that is configured to generate 3D models of rooms based on images. The mobile computing device receives data that enables the mobile computing device to display a 3D model of the room(s) that was/were imaged.

An embodiment of the invention has been made to solve a problem that it is impossible to store externally transmitted job information if a printer apparatus is in a hard-off state and it is, therefore, necessary to store the job information in an external apparatus on the transmission side. In the embodiment, a wireless communication unit which can transmit/receive data even if no power is supplied receives job information from an external terminal, and stores it in a non-volatile memory. When an information processing apparatus is supplied with power, and enters a normal activation state, it executes the job stored in the non-volatile memory.

An apparatus, system, and method of controlling transmission of an image, each of which: displays, on a display, an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal; obtains, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user of the plurality of users, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal; transmits an authentication request for authenticating the first privately-owned terminal to a terminal management server, the authentication request including the first terminal identification information of the first privately-owned terminal; receives an authentication result of authenticating the first privately-owned terminal from the terminal management server; and when the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is a legitimate terminal, and transmits a print request for printing data relating to the image being displayed to a printer through a network.

An information processing apparatus includes a display unit that display's a document in a first display mode by switching a document display mode from a second display mode to the first display mode in a case where the document displayed is a distributed document or a document having been distributed, where the document has not been browsed, and where a browsing time limit set for the document expires within a first predetermined period.

An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes a network interface unit which is connected to a host device in which a manager program is stored, a printing unit which performs a printing job, a storage unit which stores a management information base (MIB), and an agent program, and a control unit which communicates with the host device using a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). If an application is newly installed, the control unit updates the MIB. Therefore, it is possible to easily add, modify, or delete a management object (MO).
