An image forming apparatus is provided with a storage portion that stores a plurality of pieces of schedule information, an image reading portion that generates image data of an original document including a plurality of description fields, a printing portion, and a control portion that recognizes a plurality of description field regions corresponding to the plurality of description fields, respectively, recognizes in-field information that is included in each of the plurality of description field regions in association with a date borne by a corresponding one of the plurality of description fields, extracts one of the plurality of pieces of schedule information and a piece of the in-field information which correspond to a common date as first subject information and second subject information, respectively, and performs control so that an update information image is printed.

Example Implementations relate to scanning with destination marks. For example, a system according to the present disclosure, may include a computing network including a plurality of destination points, and a scanning device coupled to the computing network. The scanning device may receive a first destination mark and first document settings associated with the first destination mark, as well as first destination instructions associated with the first destination mark. The scanning device may send a first scanned document having the first document settings to a first destination point among the plurality of destination points, in accordance with the first destination instructions and in response to identification of the first destination mark on the first scanned document.

An image processing apparatus includes an image reading portion, a position detection portion, and a print processing portion. The image reading portion is configured to read an image of a document. The position detection portion is configured to detect position information of each of check boxes included in a read image by the image reading portion. The print processing portion is configured to be able to print a position specifying image indicating the position information of each of check boxes detected by the position detection portion.

An image reading device having a mark formed on front and back of a sheet by an image forming device, and including a first scanner which reads the mark and a second scanner provided at a downstream side of the first scanner and which reads the mark, includes: a position adjusting unit configured to adjust front and back positions of the mark on the basis of a print position of the mark read by at least one of the first scanner and the second scanner; and a monitoring unit configured to monitor front and back misregistration of the mark on the basis of the front and back positions of the mark adjusted by the position adjusting unit.

An image processing apparatus includes a processor, and memory storing computer readable instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the apparatus to operate as: a template image data generating unit configured to generate template image data representing a template image including a body area for writing information therein, and also including a keyword area for writing information therein for specifying a keyword to be associated with target image data representing a target image including the body area having information written therein, from among plural keywords; and a template image data providing unit configured to provide the template image data to a printing unit.
