An information processing apparatus having a printer driver includes a display part that displays on a screen a first image, a second image, a first setting item that relates to the first image and a second setting item that relates to the second image, a control part that determines one of the first and second images as a main image and the other of them as a sub image, displays both of the main and sub images on the screen, and receives a selection made by a user of the apparatus, and a display switching part that displays the first image as the main image relating to the first setting item when the first setting item is selected by the user, and the second image as the sub image.

A cropping electronic display image is provided in response to selection of an image crop menu option. The cropping electronic display image includes a geometric shape superimposed on the input image. Operation of the user input component changing position of at least one side of the geometric shape within the cropping electronic display image is detected to identify a selected cropped image area. Portions of the input image outside the selected cropped image area are removed to produce a cropped image, in response to completing the process of changing position of at least one side of the geometric shape. The cropped image and the cropped image area are enlarged to fit within the cropping electronic display image.

A help system include: an apparatus management server; one or more image forming apparatuses; a help server; and a mobile terminal, in which the mobile terminal acquires a serial number of the image forming apparatus of which the user wants to know help information among the one or more image forming apparatuses, and sends the serial number to the apparatus management server, the apparatus management server searches an apparatus information database based on the received serial number, extracts the corresponding apparatus information, and sends the extracted apparatus information to the help server, the help server receives the apparatus information sent from the apparatus management server, extracts help information relating to the sent apparatus information among the help information stored in a manual database, and sends the extracted apparatus information to the mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal presents the received help information to the user.

An image processing device includes an operation panel. The operation panel is configured to be capable of displaying a main screen and a sub-screen. The main screen includes a menu region in which multiple function buttons corresponding to types of image processing are arranged. The sub-screen is configured to be transitioned to from the main screen after one of the function buttons is selected. The sub-screen includes a reception region configured to accept an instruction for image processing related to the selected function button. In the sub-screen, a history display region is displayed alongside the reception region. The history display region is configured to display multiple history buttons including information on image processing completed previously specifically for image processing corresponding to the selected function button.

A learning support device includes a storage portion which stores the images of model characters, an image reading portion which reads a practice sheet to generate image data, a determination portion which extracts, as an image of a determination target character, an image of a handwritten character present within the image data on the practice sheet, which acquires, from the storage portion, the image of the model character and which compares the image of the model character with the image of the determination target character so as to perform a pass/fail determination, a generation portion which generates image data on a report that includes result information indicating the result of the pass/fail determination and an output portion which outputs the report including the result information.

A display control apparatus enables a user to easily recognize that a selectable item is present in addition to a displayed item and to recognize without being confused that a target item has been touched. A display processing device includes a controller and a display section having a display surface. The controller causes one or more first objects to be displayed on the display surface. Upon one of the first objects being selected, the controller creates a first screen including one or more second objects, which are objects located in a level one level lower than that of the selected first object in a hierarchy. When an MFP receives selection of any one of a plurality of folders managed in a hierarchy, the MFP displays, if the selected folder has subfolders, a list of the subfolders on a display unit, and displays, if the selected folder has no subfolders, a setting screen for setting a reading parameter for a document on the display unit.

A display control apparatus enables a user to easily recognize that a selectable item is present in addition to a displayed item and to recognize without being confused that a target item has been touched. An image processing apparatus, which has an input unit configured to input image data and which is communicably connected to an external apparatus via a network, includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain a document with a predetermined form that includes a request for input of image data, via the network from the external apparatus; a display unit configured to display, in the event of displaying a screen corresponding to the document obtained by the obtaining unit, a screen including a display object based on the predetermined form, the display object to instruct inputting of image data by the input unit; a determining unit configured to determine whether or not to display the display object on the display unit; and a control unit configured to control the display of the display object by the display unit, according to determination results of the determining unit.
