An image forming apparatus including: an object-to-be-printed determiner that, when the number of data files stored in a storage is smaller than a set predetermined number, determines the data files as files to be printed: and an image forming portion that prints the determined files to be printed.

A method for proactively creating a photo product includes storing a library of points of interest in a computer storage, detecting one or more images from a user, automatically extracting image capture locations from the images, automatically comparing the image capture locations with the points of interest in the library to obtain one or more identified points of interest, automatically identifying an occasion based on the identified points of interest in the library, automatically selecting, by the computer processor, a photo product type in part based on the occasion, automatically creating a design of a photo product of the photo product type using one or more images from the user, and manufacturing a physical photo product based on the photo product design.

A note-type personal computer according to the present invention has an LCD for displaying information stored in an internal storage provided therein, and an external storage or an external picture server connected thereto, via the internet. A digital video camera comprising: user controls enabling a user to select between at least an up input, a down input, a left input, a right input, and a confirmation input; and a program memory storing instructions to implement a method for trimming a digital video sequence. The method includes: selecting a digital video sequence; initiating a trimming operation; accepting user input to select a start frame and an end frame for a trimmed digital video sequence, wherein the up input and the down input are used to select between a start frame selection mode and an end frame selection mode, and the left input and the right input are used to scroll through the frames of the selected digital video sequence; and trimming the selected video sequence to include the frames between the selected start frame and the selected end frame.

An approach provides sending captured Superbill image data and output data generated based on results of parsing the captured Superbill image data to an external system which manages Superbill data via a cloud system and a storage service. The cloud system creates parsing rule data for parsing a captured Superbill image in accordance with user operation at a client device. The cloud system obtains captured Superbill image data from the storage service, in response to receiving a notification indicating that the captured Superbill image data has been stored in the storage service. The cloud system parses the obtained image data based on the created parsing rule and generates output data based on results of parsing. The cloud system sends the generated output data and the obtained image data to the external system via the one or more computer networks.

An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
