Editing watermarked assets
A digital medium environment includes an asset processing application that performs editing of a watermarked asset. An improved asset editing method implemented by the asset processing application comprises receiving a watermarked asset, receiving edits to the watermarked asset, storing metadata corresponding to the edits together with an asset identification (ID), communicating the metadata and asset ID, applying edits using the metadata to an unwatermarked version of the asset retrieved using the asset ID, adding a watermark back to the edited asset, and providing the edited, watermarked asset.
IDENTIFYING DOCUMENT FORMS USING DIGITAL FINGERPRINTS
Techniques are disclosed to identify a form document in an image using a digital fingerprint of the form document. To do so, the image is evaluated to detect features of the image and generate a boundary around each feature. For each boundary, dimensions of the boundary may be stored in a color channel of a pixel in a second image. Thus, the color of the pixel represents the size of the boundary. The second image is the digital fingerprint of the form. To identify the form corresponding to the digital fingerprint, the digital fingerprint may be compared to digital fingerprints of known forms.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes circuitry; and a memory storing computer-executable instructions that cause the circuitry to execute detecting an error in a character, a word, or a sentence in image data; adding, to the image data, information of the detected error when the error is detected, as invisible information that cannot be viewed or that is difficult to view in an image represented by the image data; and controlling output of the image data by changing an output method of the image data in which the error is detected, based on a detection result of detecting the error or the invisible information.
IMAGE READING SYSTEM, IMAGE READING DEVICE, AND IMAGE READING METHOD
An image reading system includes a control section, wherein when a document region among the image data is included in the first region, a control section applies a first output setting associated with the first region to the document region and executes output for the document region, and when a document region is included in the second region, the control section applies a second output setting associated with the second region to the document region and executes output for the document region.
EMBEDDED ORIENTATION MARKERS FOR IMAGING SENSORS
An imaging sensor includes an imaging array with a plurality of pixels. A sub-set of the pixels are marker pixels configured to each provide a constant respective output value to embed an orientation and alignment marker in images produced with the imaging array. The marker pixels can be sparsely distributed across the imaging array.
Hierarchical watermark detector
The present invention relates generally to digital watermarking. One aspect of the disclosure includes a method comprising: obtaining data representing imagery; using one or more configured processors, analyzing a plurality of portions of the data to detect a watermark orientation component, said analyzing employing a match filter, in which the match filter yields a correlation value for each of the plurality of portions; determining a first portion from the plurality of portions that comprises a correlation value meeting a predetermined value; and directing a watermark decoder at the first portion to decode a plural-bit watermark payload, in which the watermark decoder produces a watermark signature for the first portion, and in which the watermark decoder searches a plurality of areas at or around the first portion to decode the plural-bit watermark payload. Of course, many other aspects and disclosure are provided in this patent document.
Image processing apparatus, terminal device, and non-transitory data recording medium recording control program
A processor of an MFP generates a first additional image based on an image in a designated region of a document. Furthermore, the processor of the MFP generates a second additional image showing a difference between the document and a document before revision of the document. Then, the processor of the MFP registers the first additional image and the second additional image on a server in association with a marker image showing the revised edition number of the document.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS FROM PAPER DOCUMENTS WHILE RETAINING INFORMATION FROM THE PAPER DOCUMENTS
A method for adding electronic properties to an electronic document is provided. The method includes generating the electronic document from a paper document. Content is then identified from the electronic document. An electronic copy of the electronic document is searched using the content. Electronic properties of the content are extracted from the electronic copy and applied to the content of the electronic document.
Including information signals in product packaging and other printer media
The present disclosure relates generally to data hiding for retail product packaging and other printed objects. One embodiment embeds an information signal in a spot color for product packaging. The spot color is screened, and overprinted with process color tint. The tint is modulated prior to overprinting with optimized signal tweaks. The optimization can include consideration of a detector spectral dependency (e.g., red and/or green illumination). Many other embodiments and combinations are described in the subject patent document.
SPOT COLOR SUBSTITUTION FOR ENCODED SIGNALS
The present disclosure relates generally to encoding signals for spot colors. In one implementation a substitute spot color+CMY tint is selected to replace an original spot color. The CMY tint can be transformed to carry an encoded signal. Of course, other features, combinations and technology are described herein.
